I tried on a 2006 Tacoma TRD off road BUT no 4x4, had to turn back because of lack of grip - YOU NEED 4x4- inclines are significant so if you are loaded with gear consider that as well.
Was this video taken November 2010? It helps to know the date as it allows viewers to determine the road conditions at that time. I'm planning a trip in Ford Raptors and it looks like Lippincott won't be doable for us (Raptors are ~7" wider than a full-size pickup truck).
Great video! As a long time Saline Valley Rat I've had Racetrack on my bucket list and plan to attack it over this coming Memorial Day. What kind of vehicle were you in? The road doesn't look as bad as many blogs have made it out to be, I suppose much of that depends on each individuals perspective. (after 20 years in and out of the Valley not much phases me) I'm driving a '11 Tacoma 4x4 TRD Off Road , shouldn't be a problem I hope.
