What i like about Norther is that they are way different than CoB,CoB is like "the beggining" and their songs always sound alike which is not the situation for Norther,Norther has something that crawls deeper in your ear and you say "wow holy shit"...

Actualy, Alexi and Petri both took guitar lessons from same teacher and they played together when they were in teen ages.

Do they play same genre?

Yes they do, both Norther and Bodom are melodic death.

Do Norther and Bodom sound alike?

Not at all.

Just because Pete and Alexi both have similiar style (screaming, playing lead and being frontman at the same time) doesn't make them same.

Instead of comparing them, you should respect them both, these guys were the begining of Finish metal.

Laiho has put his whole life in the music from the very beginning, he studied hard on music schools and did practice a lot for many years before COB got famous.
