as much as he is a the best, best in skill, there are others who are just as good and probably better, not sure if anyone noticed but rogue mage priest has always been in the top flight of arena in any combo between them in 2s and 3s, other comps come and go but those class's remain the best, so you can never really tell whos the best because sometimes the class itself just favours victory over skill in some games. hell i seen 2 disc priest get 2600 last season in our battlegroup.

Bro.. He must stay in the middle of the arena to pull the rogue away from the pillar. If the priest stays near the pillar, hydra's rogue will also. And he can avoid a lot of casts from the mage. There is an advantage for the rogue if he stays near the pillar because he can always turn and play defensive, but if he's in middle of the arena, out of CDs, he would die. :)

I don't understand what makes this so special. My hpally is only 2500, and i can run around a pillar fake casting and avoiding CC as well. My games vs MLD on ruins as a hpally were no different than this and its much more difficult.

The gameplay is pretty much perfect in every single manner. I had a couple of games go very similarly to this, except we were feral/disc. It's a really good feeling when you counter literally every single move they make as a predetermined move rather than just reactionary

For those that can not recognise what is so perfect about this game, aside the poly SW:Ded and the pillar huggin, try looking more carefull from 2:30-3:00 and answer your self how often you do that kind of movements and have such arena wise like Hydra showed. This is the difference between the "Average JOE" and top players that have been dominating the hardest BGs with "not redoncolous OP" comps for years.

This clip is insane. I recognize the insane positioning game that is being played here. It is a really hard balancing act to be able to keep the priest fear and mage sheep out of the way while still being able to do the necesseray heals, dispells and so on. The insane thing about his positioning is: Hydra does not only manage to avoid nearly all cc, he is also able to find more then enough time to do the required play and on top of that gets some great (often unexpected) fears on the other team.

the reason why appreciate hydra so much(and i dont even play wow anymore) is because hes been on top since the beginning of arena. While others have come and gone out of the spotlight over the years hydra has seemed to not only remain king of the hill but is also always one step ahead of everyone else.
