soo, they made a mail client in which you can send and read e-mails offline, but they will be send when you go online. A.k.a. I send a very important mail, not realising i don't have a connection, click send and shut down my laptop. the e-mail isn't send, but I think it is. can cause a lot of problems

@footyskatevideo No, that's the one thing I love about gmail, it does it's job, and nothing more, and has a usable plain html format. I absolutely must disagree with you there, graphics design does what it is supposed to, if you want some flashy something or other, just install mozilla thunderbird and some themes.

I have a gmail account, gape premier and gape standard account all work fine. They work in Chrome, Firefox, IE and offline with Apple Mail, iPhone, pop3 and lastly pop3 to my exchange server. The system is fine, you might want to check your config.

They do actually! (I use Chrome and Gears on my XP).

I would guess, though, that they used Firefox because it has *much* deeper market penetration than Chrome does at the moment (and there's no sadly Chrome for OS X yet, which is the system pictured).

I am getting tired of that loading animation before being able to see my mails, even though new mails may load a few seconds later, I want instant view of my latest inbox. So I wonder if Gears can store all the Gmail javascripts locally to load them instantly.
