Amazing, the torque on these! To be able to cover that big range of speeds on just the top gear alone! After all, it's a performance car, it's not meant to need to present motor elasticity of quite this proportion (even if elasticity -is- important in rallying). Well, it has to be noted that Colin shows some splendid feats of clutch handling in order to get the car going out of those really slow corners :)

I know Colin somehow garnered the reputation of a nutter and a maniac on the course, but if you watch and listen there is a lot more subtle technique going on with his driving than just balls to the wall sliding through corners and speed.
