The textures that existed were a bit flat and non-existent in some places.
the falling gator part should have been sped up a bit with the music cord at the end being a bit more sour and prolonged. The pacing seemed a might slow. Finally the feathers were clearly composed of a second screen layer the consisted only of 2D art as it didn't match up with the 3D background as well as it could.
overall though it's still a solid 3.5 out of 5. Clearly professional quality.
My friend thought this was unbelievable. He said after watching this he had a revelation that he had communicated with god. After his LSD wore off he wasn't quite as impressed, but still...
Great clip to watch, no sound on this comp though.
Little crits: Softbody on some caracters can be better, some body parts are inside others; hair is pretty solid and going through shoulders; the little flags on the shed are not moving, while all the rest of the things in a previous shot was moving around in the wind.
All in all a nice clip, I can't do it that good, hope the crit's help a bit.
Overall, good animation. Good dialog and background music. Plot is clear and the scene transitions unobtrusive.
In my neck of the woods, I'm sure there are some who would be offended by the rasta crows . . . but I'm sure that will happen no matter what animal/personality there is.
Advanced social references (rastas flying - smoking)and violent humor seem as teen age comic genre. Children do not understand the references and should not be exposed to violence.
Awesome!! Even though my child has grown up, I would still enjoy watching this myself!! I think that children of just about every age would enjoy this.
Whoa! This is incredible. It is engaging and fun, even though I passed childhood a long time ago! I would definitely want to watch this with my children. I love the setting and characters--it's different than anything else I've seen.
The characters are great. Especially Boo, "Did I Fly" made me laugh. I enjoyed this little snippet and looking forward to seeing the entire video. I must still be a child at heart, when it was over I had a smile on my face. The quality of animation is excellent.
Awesome! I can't wait to see more.. This is going to be great..The characters are hilarious and I have to admit, it keeps you watching to see what is going to happen next?
lol, This is great :) I didnt think it would be as good without my dad and I in it, just kidding. I knew it would be good, Im really glad I got to see this part. When It comes out Im sure Katie and Lauryn will watch it. B-D Good Job!
Technically well-rendered (I loved the rabbit's ears blowing in the airstream). Entertaining characterizations, (Jamaican Jerk, uh, crows instead of chicken? How cool is that!). Nice vocal talent, too. Well done. Keep up the good work.
What a great idea for a new show! I especially like the accents and the Jamaican crows. I can't wait to show it to my 4 grandsons to see their reaction!
Funny! Guess this is designed for me since I have 4 kids aged 5 to 11 (and I think my 5 year old boy will laugh the most at the silly alligator!) Can't wait to get them to watch it this afternoon...
thanks for the email, Michael. I think its pretty good. I like how you made sure the animation followed the same manner as if it was a 2d animation. I saw strong points in some scenes where anticipation was need and then some needed a bit more. Over all it was good

The tar-and-feathered alligator was not exactly the most politically correct thing I've seen either.

Negs: I agree on the motion blur for the fan.
There were many large feathers flying off gator in the wind, yet there didn't seem to be any on him.
Fluids for final scene need work. I think the crow in the background was supposed to be spitting water but it ended up looking like swamp gas.

~0:48-0:59 i think that the 'mouth/beak' anims could be maybe made a bit better..?
anyways, great stuff! :)
