I saw this tour a few years back. I knew it may be the last chance to hear this constellation live, which doubled the emotion. The acoustics were not great in Berlin, but I was still blown away..This song was a highlight..For those who did not get the chance to see the Funk Brothers tour I recommend seeing the film " Standing in the Shadows of Motown " in a cinema with good sound system.I was impressed and highly entertained by that also.

Incredible! An all time great voice! The Funk Brothers are fantastic! They allow Joan to unleash that amazing voice. You can tell she feels this song. I never really paid attention to this song but Joan makes you feel the pain, the hopelessness, the desperation! I can listen to this version over and over!

The first time I saw this documentary I replayed this song over and over and over again, at least 10 times. You can never get tired of The Funk Brothers and you can never get tired of Joan's voice, specially in this song. Awesome. It's a shame that we'll never see music like this again; today everything is bullshit. I should have been born in the 40's, so I would have had the best of the 50's, 60's and 70's...
