Smokin' Joe! I was in your corner the night you knocked Ali out and I was in your corner for every other fight you fought. I always respected and admired you and I will miss you. I had heard just about a week ago that you were ill and I offered a prayer for you. I guess God decided He needed you more up there than we need you down here.
May god have your spirit free and rest you in peace.May your family cherish your legacy and my prayer are with them in these difficult times then the void they must feel in their heart must be devestating. I can feel that Mohammad Ali feels the same void in his heart then beyond all his antiques Ali loved and respected Joe. May god take care of us all and may god give Joe the dignity and receive him with open arms.Joe was a good and honest man who had virtue in his heart. Peace be upon him.

Not really saddened by the death of Joe Frazier cancer is a very depressing disease -at least in death he does not have to suffer anymore-no one wants to watch a family member suffer with cancer-RIP Joe Frazier no more pain and suffering
I am terribly saddened by the death of Smokin Joe. Not sure why. Getting old. But he was, as another commentator said, the warrior-king. I was never an Ali fan. As a boy, my favorite boxer was Liston; as a teen, it was Joe. He was smaller than his opponents so he never had a jab. Watch his vids and you'll see. He had this strange bob from the waist up, always moving forward, stalking, until ZANG! that left hook crackled, and then . . .the dark lights. Adios hombre y vaya con dios. Peace Out.
What poor reporting Frazier gained the title in 68 and Ali-Frazier I was in 1971
