  • Let's get this out of the way: I HATE hair metal. The glam metal of the 80's sent me running to the prog-rock of the 70's to get my musical sustenance. But I gotta tellya THAT KICKED ASS!

  • Sad but true LOL

  • After look this video je think more than never that i'm born in the worst generation...

  • This is fucking great!

  • Holy shit. This song should be on the Wikipedia ''Metal'' page to summarize ALL the real metal.

  • Bring back rock todays music sucks.

  • The 80s were the shit . Wish I could relive it . I would see a hell of a lot more bands . My hearing

is fucked from the 80s .

  • Fucking awesome dude..lol.

  • the guy that made this crap is suck in the 80's time to move on

  • why are they parodying a thrash song for a hair band tribute?

  • @aydooknow they are parodying a hard rock song. Metallica , at that point (Black Album) ceased to be a thrash band.

  • @GlamTillDeath Actually, they're using the Sad But True, but parodying American Bad Ass from Kid Rock and throwing a few extra guitar licks I think :o

  • @GlamTillDeath

Not quite....they still played some of their Thrash stuff.

  • @16karateka are you responding to my metallica comment ?

  • @16karateka Metallicas 'Enter Sandman' and that album is mtv-friendly hard rock, what i said was tuff was ripping off a hard rock song.

  • @GlamTillDeath

    Nope.

The Black Album is a HEAVY METAL album.

Every song in it is PURELY Heavy Metal.

  • @16karateka so nothings else matters and unforgiven are pure heavy metal songs lol

  • @GlamTillDeath

The only albums where Metallica plays songs in Hard Rock genre are Load and ReLoad and Garage Inc.

The rest of their stuff(albums) is either - PURELY Heavy Metal,

either - Speed Metal/Thrash Metal with some occassional Heavy Metal.

Believe me - I know it. I am a Metallica fan,and i have done research about them.

  • that shit is awesome...but I still love Alice in Chains.

  • Kick Ass Motherfuckers!!!!

  • This kicks ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my daughter said Motley Crue sucks...she is now currently living in an orphanage

  • @VinceNeil406 sso you kicked your daughter out all because she gave you her opinion about a band... wow your a dick

  • @VinceNeil406 LMFAO

  • Cool Video, cool Song. We love it :-)

  • Rock Music is supposed to be an escape for the BS realities of life. The industry combined the 2 with grunge, which ruined it in the mainstream. People got tired of it quick. The momentum didnt last more than 2-3 years. Glam/hair/melodic.... Metal spanned decades. Now though, you have to search for it because all the best went indie.

  • Why is this whole song Metallica's Sad But True riff, but they dont give tue band or song credit? Its a great song though

  • KID ROCK COPYD THIS BIGTIME DONT BELEVE ME SERCH KID ROCK AMERIAN BAD ASS

  • My daughter said motley crue sucks, she is currently living in an orphanage

  • Song?

  • i like how they use a metallica song as the background music when metallica hates hair bands lol

  • @stitchmorg

It's 'cause it's a parody of American Badass by Kid Rock...

  • @stitchmorg 1- Metallica, at that point is basicly a hard rock band

2- i have lars ulrich interviews from 1983 and he says he's ok with bands like motley crue and ratt.

3- There's no music as 'hair metal'. All 80s metal bands had big hair, and mtv invented that term to diss 80s metal bands and promote the new trends in the 90s.

  • @GlamTillDeath yes there is hair metal. your preaching to the choir here guy.

  • @stitchmorg Tina Turner-Destruction-Wasp-Led Zeppelin-The Alarm-Running Wild-Overkill-Keel-Malmsteen

All these bands had big hair, so they are all called hair metal? lol

  • Hair Metal rulessssssssss !

    Ratt & Roll \ , , /

    Foda-se o Kurt pohha

  • fuckin love it !!! Thanks bro, great job at throwing kudos to the 80's !!!!

  • 80 years

  • Check out our new Metal show titled - Rock n Roll Encore!

    Twin Rockers

  • WHAT DO YOU WANNA DO WITH YOUR LIFE!?!?!?

  • RATT RATT RATT yes

  • This is complete fucking genious in pure form. Hair Metal for life \m/

  • good shit, hair bands were always so over the top funny; self parody

  • "Kurt Cobain is gone!"

Yeah, and in spite of that he's still thousands of times more well known than you XD

And to rap over a Metallica song to try to talk up glam metal, is fucking retarded.

  • @VegitoVai90 its a joke..chill dude

  • @heroicndashing

    Well I'd certainly hope so

  • @VegitoVai90 'eah, and in spite of that he's still thousands of times more well known than you '

and Justin Bieber has more views than Kurt nobrain.. so whats your point

if your such a grunge fan, follow your idol kurt and kill yourself grunge scum

  • @GlamTillDeath

I don't hate or love any particular genre, just good artists of all types. L.A. spewed out shit like Tuff, but they also had Guns N Roses and Motley Crue - bands that actually had an original sound and weren't cashing in on a trend like Tuff or Nelson. Seattle had some shit like Dickless, and the grunge scene spawned awful bands like Bush, but Nirvana and Pearl Jam and Soundgarden all kicked ass. And grunge scum is the most redundant and one of the dumbest insult I've ever seen.

  • @VegitoVai90 Tuff was an underground glam band and they had no influence, if u want to compare the big names of 80s and 90s; compare them with Van Halen or Guns'n Roses. Ritchie Blackmore summarised what was grunge : 'Grunge is just..non-music'

  • @GlamTillDeath

Yes, Blackmore said that, but Robert Plant and other classic musicians talked down glam just as much. Blackmore's an insanely technical guitarist who cares more about complexity than anything. Besides, I get the feeling he was mostly referring to post-grunge and all the bandwagon bands that emerged after Nirvana and Pearl Jam broke. I'm sorry, but the original grunge bands sounded nothing alike - AIC was completely different from PJ who was different from Nirvana.

  • @VegitoVai90 He said that in a 1994 Kerrang interview. I can also tell you comments by other musicians such as Malmsteen that talked down grunge. Yeah there were also shitty glam bands, but most of the glam/hard rock acts of the late 80s have at least a decent guitar player and a singer that can actually sing. AIC was hard rock when they first started and toured with Poison, Extreme, Warrant etc. They started to change their sound after '91.

  • @GlamTillDeath

Justin Bieber is huge now because of stupid teenage girls (incidentally enough, that's the same reason Tuff and Poison were so big twenty years ago :P). When they grow up, his career is as good as dead. Nirvana is popular 20 years after they got huge. Great bands stand the test of time. GnR has, Van Halen has, the Beatles have, Nirvana has, and tons of other good artists have. Tuff hasn't, because they're fucking lame.

  • @VegitoVai90 I can clearly remember that Nirvana was listened by girls who thought Kurt Nobrain was hot. Nirvana listeners werent even rock fans, they listened to what was on Mtv and once BritPop and Oasis became fashionable in '95,grunge was over in just 3 years. It was a fuckin' fad that requires no musical talents. You just needed to have a handsome frontman(to attract girls) and play 3 chord pop-punk songs. The fact that pop magazines still cover Nirvana has nothing to do with quality

  • @GlamTillDeath

The appearance, especially its contrast with glam, certainly helped its popularity, and I know girls liked Kurt and Eddie Vedder for their looks, but it certainly wasn't just that. Girls liked GnR and Metallica after the Black Album as well because of their frontmen, does that mean they're superficial too? Many of their listeners weren't rock fans either (people said "I hate metal, but I like GnR"). Tuff was underground only because of their timing.

  • @VegitoVai90 Tuff sounds like shit, i know of atleast 16 underground american and german metal bands that honestly shit over these guys. Im seriously starting to see that connections were the biggest link to fame not overall talent back in those days.

  • @VegitoVai90 'Tuff was underground only because of their timing.'- no they started in mid 80s.

'GnR and Metallica after the Black Album ' - They were corporate rock acts at that time and they were 24/7 on Mtv and they had a crossover with pop audience.

'Many of their listeners weren't rock fans' - True.

  • @VegitoVai90 Anyway what I want to say is, the bands in this video are mostly melodic hard rock bands that were influenced by 70s hard rock bands (Aerosmith, Van Halen) whereas Grunge was the British post-punk music repackaged-commercialised for the American market. Grunge had nothing to do with hard rock, neither the music nor the lyrics

  • @GlamTillDeath

Let's just end it with this. Any great band will spawn a ton of useless imitators, many of which will ruin what they started. Grunge was a word used by Mark Arm and meant to be a joke. All the original Seattle bands hated the grunge scene as it became filled with shit like Bush, just like most of the original hard rock/metal musicians hated hair metal (Dio once said "Poison killed metal"). Any band embracing either label sucks, amirite?

  • @VegitoVai90 'hair metal' term didn't exist in the 80s, that label was made up by mtv in the 90s to diss the all the 80s metal scene. Dio was friends with Ratt guys, he was the manager of Rough Cutt and he was friendly with the LA scene (just watch Hear'n Aid)

'Any great band will spawn a ton of useless imitators, many of which will ruin what they started'- I agree, its the music business trying to cash on trends.

  • And Nikki Sixx, I wanna see Tommy Lee back Spinnin Those Styx!

  • That was kick ass! Grunge rock sucks balls ... unless you're "depressed" about some bullshit nothingness that you need to get over. 80's Metal forever!

  • "Love Johnny Crash grunge bands are TRASH"

  • Justin Biever

    Green Day

    Lady Gaga

    Katy perry.

Heh...they thought they stood a chance.

  • Awesome

  • I WANNA SEE TOMMY LEE BACK SPINNIN THOSE STICKS!!!!

  • Why is the backing track Metallica? Metallica hated this music. Don't get me wrong. I love both. But that really makes no sense. They're two different genres of metal anyway.

  • @Waycooljr294 Because the song is also a parody of Kid Rock's "American Badass", which uses the instrumentals of "Sad But True".

  • @Waycooljr294

They didn't EXACTLY HATE IT. They just thought that a lot of those bands were not metal.

If they would hate all of it - they would NOT be friends with Judas Priest and Guns'N'Roses(Slash to be precise)

  • @16karateka True. But they did hate hair metal. GLAM: Gay LA Music- Dave Mustaine. lol. Dave isn't really considered a member of Metallica anymore, but same genre.. you get my point haha.

  • @Waycooljr294

Yeah, but Dave Mustaine is just ONE member(ex-member,by the way).

Metallica didn't focus much on hair bands. They focused on what their own band does.

PS - Kirk Hammett was hugely influenced by Scorpions "Virgin Killer" album(1978),thanks to Uli Jon Roth. now,at that time,Scorpions didn't play Glam Metal yet,,only Hard Rock with some Heavy Metal. Now,after Uli left and Matthias Jabs joined, the Scorpions started to play more heavy songs(INCLUDING Glam Metal)

  • now tell me,if Kirk Hammett likes Scorpions, and is influenced by them, isn't that reflecting on Metallica's music?

Maybe James,Cliff and Lars didn't care much about Scorpions,i dunno...those three weren't much into stuff like Bon Jovi or Motley Crue. They even called some of them posers. But that doesn't necessarily make them haters.

  • All of the band members were mostly into stuff like Diamond Head,Aerosmith,Deep Purple,Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin and so on...

Except the fact that Kirk listened to Scorpions and, possibly,to some other similar bands that, just like Scorpions, played some Glam Metal as well, you know, for example - W.A.S.P.(A Glam Metal band with some REALLY HEAVY,RAW AND PUNCHY SONGS)

  • i love how at 1:10 when they say "shout shout at the devil again" they show a clip from wild side XD

  • @mortemdrummer are you grunge? GTFO

  • @mortemdrummer 2:49 - 2:56 thats all i can say

  • @0Atche0 Don't bother feeding that troll mortemdrummer. Just go check out his channel, where he pretends to play the drums while his iPod is on. He puts Milli Vanilli to shame.

  • @0Atche0

    dude,you need to relax....

    I know you hate Grunge.

But i gotta tell ya - not all of it was bad.

Musically(technical complexity) - Grunge sucked balls bigtime(except Alice In Chains),but - lyrically it was very interesting, pondeing.

I mean - why not think about serious things at least sometimes?

Besides, some of that Grunge stuff was artistic, after all....

not sayin that it was greater than Glam Metal,i just have done some research, done some exploration on that matter.

  • Glam Metal lyrics oftenly were about just plain sex and partying.

Of course, sometimes it was also about TRUE LOVE(like Scorpions - Still Loving You),sometimes you could even find a song about something very, even GLOBALLY serious(An example of that is: White Lion - When The Children Cry;Motley Crue - Wild Side;Motley Crue - Home Sweet Home;Motley Crue - Time For Change;Scorpions - Wind Of Change;Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It,and so on)

  • but still - Glam Music has always primarily been about sex, partying and playing Rock'N'Roll/Heavy Metal.

And ya know - it's good to have yourself a party, but there are also other things in life.

    Like job,duty,responsibility,and so on.

PS - If i had to choose between Grunge and Glam Metal,I'd pick Glam Metal.

It's cooler and also somewhat closer to my nature.

  • @mortemdrummer

    Yeah right....

I listen to Glam Metal, but i have NO problems with listening to Judas Priest,Metallica,Megadeth or even shit like Six Feet Under(even though i'm not a huge Death metal fan...yet sometimes death metal can be interesting)

  • @mortemdrummer fuckin fagggot go fuck yourself

  • Only song from Tuff that kicks ass?

  • R.I.P. Janey Lane we'll miss ya brother Twist a Fatty and know We Love You

  • i want this music to for my life, bous with long hair, wild boys and ROCK N ROLL

  • I fuckin' love this song!

  • I don't really understand... Why Sad But True in the background?

  • I'm an American hairband Watch me rock You can raise your hands Or you can suck my cock Heavy Metal God I'm a Pin-up boy I'm the singer from Tuff not Pretty Boy Floyd Super loud and Super wild Sebastian Bach is youth gone wild Diamond Dave and Nikki Sixx I wanna see Tommy Lee back spinning those sticks Up all night, gonna sleep all day I love girls; girls, girls and I love L.A. • @beergut111

Maybe if you went outside for a few hours instead of bitching at me you would meet a girl you fucking reject KID...

  • @beergut111

If you went outside for a few hours instead of spamming me you might meet another fat 60 year old woman to marry and take you in to replace the one that obviously left you. lol

  • @Alhambrattp im a retired airline pilot from Northwest and ive mixed live sound for over 30 years.....you have a looooooong way to go kid.

  • @beergut111

Wow!!! To be that old and still have the mental capacity of a 10 year old.....I almost pity you kid.

  • Fuckin A.

  • Grunge didn't kill rock n' roll, MTV and the RIAA did. MTV overexposed the glam scene, record labels began to sign ANY band that looked like Guns N' Roses, and ALL of those bands were releasing nothing but cheesy ballads by late '91. By that point, Metallica and Megadeth had also gone mainstream and thrash wasn't a hot edgy style anymore. Grunge/alternative still had an edge though, which is why it was embraced so much. Of course, by 1999 alternative rock was more or less dead as well.

  • SHOUT IT OUT LOUD WITH A BAND NAMED KISS kiss rocks my world

  • all this is is song references. and respect the dead. im a glam rocker and personally kurt cobain didnt kill Glam. it was the fans that moved genra's. and metallica in a glam song? lars and james hated motley crue. and lars was to much of a pussy to fight nikki, as he says his little 5'4 body ran.....

  • I love that Style of music. That was music, not nowadays shit. Our band N.F.M.E. is influenced by all these band, you should check us out: /watch?v=zkTFEkYA-oE ROCK N' ROLL WILL NEVER DIE! (I hope so)

  • LETS KEEP BRINGIN IT BACK METALHEADS!!!

  • TUFF ROCKS!

  • because of Grunge, our generation are lost. The disgrace of rap exist now. =X

  • Metallica !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love that Motley Crue is constantly mentioned in this :)

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS ONE, but I gotta ask why the hell is Metallica here? They hate Glam metal. they think glam is for gays!

  • @mikenroses no they dont. they have covered queen and played with guns n roses, ratt, steeler etc.

  • @GlamTillDeath That's true. But see the "Megadeth behind the music" documentary (by VH1).

  • @mikenroses i have lars ulrich interviews from 1983 and he says he's ok with bands like motley crue and ratt.

as i remember its the megadeth who always bitch about other bands.

  • @GlamTillDeath Oh I really though it was someone from Metallica that didn't like Glam metal. But anyway, I still thinking Metallica has nothing to do with Glam.

  • @mikenroses i agree:)

  • Fuck Kurt Cobain!
