  • I wish peg was my dog.

  • Comment removed

  • she makes me want to sit up on my hind legs and howl

  • I always thought this part was put in for a celebrity cameo to make the film a little more popular, I didn't know it was just a side note, a suggestion from some people who just loved music. This is awesome!

  • Excellent! Peg is my kinda gal.

  • She's so pretty

  • Whoa.

  • Her voice doesn't match her face. Which makes the video a little awkward to watch :P

  • LOL the DOGSSSS <3

  • Does anybody know where this video is taken from?

  • @citydweller85 Lady and the Tramp DVD

  • i miss this kind of music. musicians nowadays just aren't the same as they used to be. love peggy lee and love this song. and love Lady and the Tramp. probably my favorite Disney movie of all time.

  • My favorite song Lady & The Tramp :) What a voice.

  • Omg do they srsly have four guys singing like dogs? Fucking brilliant :D

  • I wanna fucking punch those background singers so hard, way too loud

  • even the backup singers look like the dogs they play!

  • Throw those guys a bone and maybe they'll stop chewing the scenery!

  • @TheSamLowry Now THAT'S funny....good one.

  • @LTdrumma

Ok well sorry for being a 13 year old girl thinking it's weird, and if ur a grown man what the hell are u doing replying to children

  • if only Disney could make movies like how they did in the old days :(

  • kinda of scary that such a big voice could come from one small woman XD

  • She passed away on my birthday :( I was in the second grade.

  • a time where most people looked really classy. unlike nowadays with the underwear hanging out. ugh!

  • it doesn't even look like she's trying!

  • @dumboiscute nowadays is all about who looks the best or who has the best reputation at the time. not the singing. back then it was opposite and sooooo much better for it.

  • @vidkid64 ikr i wish i coulda lived back in the olden days but unfortunately i'm black so my life woulda been tragic =(

  • @dumboiscute >< that is awful. i wish people could just get along with each other. i'm mexican and a woman so i've got some 'tragic' issues as well, but damn. what a shame that time travel is outta the question, unless you had one heck of a disguise! ^_^

  • @vidkid64 =) haha

  • she had the best singing/speaking voice....

  • THIS is how you make a good cartoon. Not computerised crap nowadays.

  • Beautiful

  • @cursedghost48 Thank you!!!!

  • i sang this and my cousin said " ew she sings weird" then she said put on selena gomez thats better THEN iI SAID " y dont u go fall in a well" and i slapped her

  • boom boom boom ruff. ~ best part right there.

  • Wow, those guys did amazing dog voices! Some of the best animal impersonators or whatever you call people who can copy animal sounds.

  • For ppl who don't know

    Gay means like happy

    Not the discusting kindof gay

  • @sillysilvergirl1357 I think you meant the BEST kind of gay......

  • @sillysilvergirl1357 i dont understand, there is no disgusting kind of gay...

by the way i'm a straight man, i tell you this to give a little more confusion to ur puny little head that cant even spell disgusting right

  • I love this song so much; this movie has such excellent music ^_^ Peggy Lee was so right for that scene, and I'm glad her voice is immortalized for children in Lady & the Tramp!

  • They don't come much better than Peggy Lee, that's for sure. And this sequence in the movie is just priceless. A torch song by a furry little dog. Great stuff.

  • haha..."quite a gay dog with the ladies..."

  • @kgraham15

Well, back then "gay" actually meant something other than what the homosexuals of our day have hijacked it to mean. It's kinda' sad really because many Disney songs and stories use the language of Disney from the 1950's, but even little kids hear that word in a Disney story and give the same reaction you did.

  • @ThePeaceCrusade Homosexuals didn't hijack the word "gay" any more than the blacks hijacked the "N" word. It was a word applied to them, often in a derogatory tone, along with fag, which means cigarette and queer, which means strange. Words evolve and change and are applied to different things. Nowadays ignorant people use the word "gay" as a way of saying silly or stupid, so actually people who say things are "gay" actually are as well.

  • @bocaknights1

    That's gay.

  • @SRH911 best comeback

  • I didn't know this existed! I really enjoyed this! :)

  • Dang, 1955 I was almost 7 when the Lady and the Tramp came out. LOL

  • beautiful woman and such a sexy voice.

  • man tht girl is awsome! i love her voice and i think its funny the the faces the people make when the r doing the dog voice i was like :o and then i was like :P and now i am like:D LOL

  • Oh my, Walt....If you could see our generation now, you would rethink some of your words. XD

    I just laughed!

  • AMAZING. Love the Barking singing!! Peggy>>>> Fabulous

  • Great documentary, thanks! I knew he's had a big bunch of detractors, but I can't imagine the world of fantasies without Disney. I and many others made ourselves artists thanks to him. I am even surprised Disney was able to show the people about the way he worked, showing his artistic team and even the storyboards hangin' on the wall. This nowadays is a State Secret between artists

  • She looks too cool she had swagg for days.I know she had female freinds as well as men too cool to hate.

  • bum bum bum ruff!

  • quite a gay dog with the ladies- LOL

  • She's really having a hard time not to laugh at her fellow "dogs". I don't blame her! :)

  • I love Peggy Lee and Peg!

  • and she looks like peg too

  • 1:15 O_o

  • bumbumbum wooooof.. love this movie..it's part of what got me into "peg' as a kid! my parent's always laughed because I liked music that was almost olEdit | Remove Add a note about this video for this playlist: bumbumbum wooooof.. love this movie..it's part of what got me into "peg' as a kid! my parent's always laughed because I liked music that was almost older then them! my wonderful mom still say's"haha that song was old when I was young"!

  • That's some bitch...

  • wow they even made the noises of the dogs omfg that is shit lol they dont really sound like dogs

  • @me1648 Uh, excuse me sir. But I think you mean is THE shit. ;)

  • i wanna hear it without the barking :(

  • @annie8nicole You can. Peggy did another version. Just search "he's a tramp peggy lee" and click on the second result. :)

  • so thats how what the dogs were... i thought they used real dogs, hahahahh lol, yeah this way would be easier :)

  • she looks exactly like i though she would

  • excellent! shes so good....everything is so professional

  • Boom-boom-boom Woof!

  • I love the classic disney songs / singers. They had such raw talent, unlike a lot of today's artists.

  • Peggy Lee is AWESOME!!

  • is it just me or did the background dog singers totally steal this video?

  • apparently 9 peopel don't love the tramp :'(

  • My dog was howling with the background singers

  • Holy! She looks like Goldie Hawn, or is it just me?

  • classic

  • AMAZING

  • gay dog with the ladies, ha

  • Ever notice that ALL the girls back then looked/sang like that? Anyway, i love it. Wish i had that "olden days" ring to my voice.

  • is that walt disney singing? it really does look like him. what a musical voice and animated face. XD

i really admire how much heart everyone put into this, and at the same time, it looked like everyone was having fun together. what i'd give to see today's animation crews do the same thing. <3

  • @snowhowl I think that is Thurl Ravenscoft, Tony the Tiger, and the Mellowmen.

  • @MarvelettesDude2 oops.... well, alright, either way, they all did an excellent job. XD

  • 9 people liked this with there computers upside down.

  • this is the sickest thing ever? The back ground singers as singing as dogs...wow...

  • Press 5, and repeat!

Peggy Lee's voice and herself are beautiful. Real genuine vocals, nothing sounds better.

  • @jmike2010 YES

  • She had to be the most beautiful of all the female vocalists of the 1940's - 1950's.

  • those background singers are epic

  • wow i have the records with all theses songs !! its like 30 years old... lol... time to replay them for nostalgia... didnt know she did this .. shes a natural...

  • Oh man, I remember I went with my siblings to see this cartoon film when it came out. Great singing by Peggy and those back-up singers.

  • Is that moustached singer Thurl Ravenscroft?

  • @MariAnKenobi I never noticed that, good catch. A tiger and a dog...

  • I love those old-fashioned microphones.

  • wish i lived in these old times....wait nevermind i'm black:(

  • @Hsmgirl97 I just spit my drink out.

  • @Hsmgirl97 LOL

  • @Hsmgirl97 omg right?! except yeah....wouldn't have been fun.

  • @Hsmgirl97 LOL, I know what you mean.

  • @Hsmgirl97

  • i love this song

  • :D Love this song...

  • There's only one Peggy Lee. Nice to be able to see her sing this song.

  • Peggy Lee was an amazing talent!! Thanks for posting!

  • People making dog noises looks like shit, cartoon dogs making dog noises doesn't look half bad. :) Kinda funny how that works.

  • What A Women !!!!

  • her voice sounds so different to how it sounds on her jessica rabbit song! love her

    <3

  • 1,000th like right here! :D life acheivement

  • Gosh and yet they set such a different standard for beauty these days. Her voice is double how she looks though. :)

  • she's so beautiful

  • And she kept a straight face the whole time, what a lady...this is hilarious

  • Peggy Lee sued disney for $3million & won it!

  • lmfao at the guys doing the dog noises!

  • this is awesome!!

  • I have the movie it's really good and the songs is really and I mean really good.

  • Peggy Lee and Disney...Just doesn't get any better than that

  • I love this <3

  • Nothing beats this! ♥

  • Can someone please shoot Britney Spears ? Thank you .

  • I don't understand how someone cannot like this video, this is Disney cartoon people, not a Sponge BOb.

  • he's gay with the ladies. LOL

  • holy mother of a dog! she's Chinese cause its LEE!

  • Absolute delight! Having loved this song since seeing the movie and buying the 78 RPM record in 1955, I never thought I'd have the joy of seeing the people who made it happen actually at work on it. Disney was indeed a visionary for having the foresight to preserve these moments for later generations. What a wonderful collaboration of talent this film was!

  • What a voice! Why don't we have singers like her around anymore? :(

  • This song is still one of the best just like the film among the cartoons!! Very nice story! One of the real Walt Disney's best creation :D Thank you so much for this experience, it makes me remind my childhood.

  • Who are the four men, the Mello Men, and which one is Boris' singing voice (bass)?

Do you have the Mello Mens' names?

  • @JGCooney In the video, from left to right they are Max Smith, Bill Lee, Thurl Ravenscroft, and Bob Hamlin. Bill and Thurl are probably the most prolific. Bill sang Cruella DeVil, as well as dubbing for Capt Von Trapp in Sound of Music and Lt. Cable in South Pacific. He's also sang on numerous Disney soundtracks, and in the parks at the Tiki Room, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion. Thurl also did numerous animation work, particularly singing Mr. Grinch and being Tony the Tiger.

  • This is fucking awesome.

  • ahahaa omg i love the backups! xD

  • @MagickDog i agree those dawgs were the cat's meow!!!

  • WOW. 222,222 views....AWESOME! :D

  • i like the little guy on the right doing the chiwawa. :)

  • COLOOOOOR THANKYOU LORD!

  • Oh peggy lee :)

  • 1:29

    I ALMOST PEED MYSELF XDD

  • @tgrwp42j12 my sides hurt so bad. xD

  • I love this movie!!!! <333

  • haha i probably would have to do that a few times cause if i saw the back up singers i would bust out laughing haha.

  • That was really really good until she walked away from the mic and you could still hear her. That ruined the whole thing for me when I realized they weren't really playing it and she was just mouthing the words. Still good campy stuff though!

  • 1:53 so funny!!!!!!

  • In the same scene, the male quartet did a howling-great number of their own. I loved it!

  • This is really enlightening, and wonderful!

  • Is the guy with the mustache Thurl Ravenscroft?

  • @Julian9ehp Haha, I first thought that was Walt Disney (everyone with a moustache like that looks like Walt Disney to me :P)

  • @ethalinia Disney had a good tenor voice until his smoking ruined it. (He was also the first voice of Mickey Mouse.) Ravenscroft is really recognizable for a trivial-minded person like me.

  • I love it how she keeps looking over the back up singers like 'What the fudge?' (:

  • Oh my gosh, they'd have to stop like 500 times 'cause I'd be lauging so hard at those guys.

  • How great was this movie and in particular this song? I remember seeing this film in re-release in the late '70's with my two nephews. They were seeing it for the first time and seeing it in the theatre and watching their reaction made the whole experience that much better. Peggy Lee was, of course, simply a genius. Her work as "Peg" and the two Siamese cats will go down in animation history.

  • that is so awesome! the background singers are amazing! :D

  • JUST LOVELY !!!

  • Oh Miss Peggy! <3

  • Back then is when the real music was... there was none of this auto tune shit!

  • She was so pretty

  • How fun! I didn't realize she sang this in the movie....and it's always been a favorite since I was a little girl.

  • Always loved this song and Peggy Lee and this video is great! If I were her I would be in stitches with those backing singers.

  • LOL at the guys

  • Cut my teeth on this one!!! So happy to find it!

  • Singers in those days had such distinctive, beautiful voices. Not like the same churned out techno shit that is coming out these days.

And lol at the backing singers, I didn't know people could make those kinds of noises. XD

  • @DraculasHotBride That's because Autotune didn't exist back then, people actually had to make an effort

  • @DraculasHotBride Ive been told the back-up singers are the Mellomen, check it out on Wikipedia
