Eight Seconds was a new wave-pop band formed in 1982 in Ottawa, Canada. They are best known for their 1987 top-30 single "Kiss You (When It's Dangerous)" from the full-length album Almacantar. The band's lineup included Andrés del Castillo (vocals/guitar), March Cesare (bass), Frank Levin (keyboards), Scott Milks (drums), and Marc Parent (guitar).

I like the version on the Retro-Active compliation cd ; extended out for another minute;; starts off with the drums pounding out the signature beat and then the bass kicks in for a quick riff away the song goes!! Great tune by a great guy and his crew...worked with Andy Del Castillo in Ottawa and he was not only an amazing sales guy but an overall amazing guy. Used to play this over the company intercom and had nothing but smiles.

*sigh* If only I was born in 1959 like my mother I would have been able to live all the fun and fantastic era's of the 20th Century. Unfortunately, I was born in 1991 but at least I got the 90's before the *shudder* 2000's and even though the 2010's are looking pretty good it will never be as amazing as the 80's. I think that the reason a lot of the music from the 80's is so loved, (aside from the whole "back in the good old days" aspect) is that for the most part, these bands wrote their own music, played their own instruments, and spent years together striving to "make it". Just my opinion
