This is a wonderful piece with just about everything you could want. The chords are really supurb especially the trombones at the end and the performance is so good. I wonder why is has so few views!
I love thisi early piece by Berlioz. Thank YOU for posting it. For years youtube only had Liszt's piano version (which is good, but not AS good). I like your version better than the one on my Naxos CD (the sound engineer did a poor job there!). I'm posting this on my FB page--AND will send the address for it to 2 relatives & 3 friends! VERY HAPPY TO HEAR & WATCH THIS!
There is a brass band transcription of this. Often used as a test piece in brass band competitions.

I know that it is 'obscure' as you put it but it is well worth lookimg at an listening to with so much embedded music in it.
