There are many plug-ins built into Studio. Pinnacle also sells more like Hollywood FX and RTFX. For audio, you can use VST plug-ins as well since Studio supports them. VST is the most popular audio plug-in technology. Search the internet and you can find free ones as well.

Yes, there are Plug-ins for Studio 11. Sometimes it is less expensive to buy them in packs or purchase the latest version. Studio 12 Ultimate comes with some new ones that would be quite expensive to add to version 11.

i got pinnacle studio 10 and a bonus disk i installed both. Then when i try to use the new effects it says i need to unlock them, which will cost. Can you help please. im not paying for something i already paid for.

I was having the same problem, but with practiaclly all titles, effects and sounds. I checked the bonus disc and I had all those things checked, but it still doens't work.

none of them work the only ones that work are the 4 standard ones.

Anything "standard" is what is supposed to work. If there are bonus material not working that are supposed to, check the knowledgebase FAQs on Pinnacle's website. There was a way to upgrade bonus DVDs.

everytime i want to use the slow down or speed feature i got a exclamation mark . why is it doing this

Not sure. Exclamation point means it can not render or something is missing. I've never had that happen with speed control. I would check the FAQs in the support section to see if you can find the answer or send them an email.

speed up and reverse etc. will only work will only work with video from a dv tape...ao Avi or wmv, if thats happening, chances are its mpeg 4 or something. One thign i know it wont work on, is videos from a screen recorder

The screen recorder software. Does it record into a video format that Studio recognizes? For instance, Camtasia does not record in something that you can edit. You would have to find some converter software that would then convert your files into something that Studio can edit.

i'm not actually sure what format it records too

i just use winFF to convert it to avi

and it does the trick

I dont know how to set Pinnacle for PAL not NTSC.

You set the software for Pal/NTSC under settings. It can handle both but not at the same time.

You have to be connected to the internate to actimate things like MPEG-2, DivX, etc. Are you connected to the internet? Have you been able to enter the serial number for Studio, Bias' Sound Soap, etc.? Bias has it's own serial number for instance.

Not all things are unlocked. There is a mode where you can have it show you only the ones that are available. You can purchase additional Hollywood FX and Premium packs. Those unlock more things for the least amount of money. There are standard transitions, effects, titles and menus that you do not have to unlock.

I am new in Pinnacle Studio Plus 11.1

Sam1 sayd me I can change sam1 face from a picture with sam1 els face :) Is posible in Pinnacle ? How ?

Is what you want to do is replace someone's face with another face? It would never look real if that is what you wanted. You would have to use key frames to move with the person. Realistically, Studio would not do it but if that person has a green screen covering their face you could replace that green area with other video.

You can chromakey with Sony's Vegas. I believe that they were asking about upgrading to the full version of Studio. You can upgrade to Plus for around $20 and add Ultimate to that for $30. You would have to check with Suzan to be sure. I do not sell it.

What version are you using? With Studio 9 Plus I did step 3 "Make Movie" and out put the file as a DV .AVI file. That gives me the highest quality. Then I downloaded DivX Converter to convert the file into DivX. That gives me the highest quality file to upload and still keeps the file size small.

I have studio 11 plus, it does give me the option to save as a AVI file or DivX file and I can find the files on my computer but I can't open them. I can only open them in Pinnacle studios 11 but not in Movie Maker, or anything else.

A file that is an AVI file should play in Windows Media Player. If you do not have the DivX Codec installed, a DivX file will not play in Windows Media Player. I always output to DV .avi file and then use DivX Converter.

No, I do not work for Pinnacle. Vegas seems a little more complicated to use for most people. I have not used Vegas in a log time. Studio does 90% of what most people want. For more advanced you could look at Vegas, Premiere, Avid, etc.

I do have Vegas myself. Vegas is really quick to use once you learned the software. The book that comes with it is not the easiest to understand. Thanks to the tutorials on Youtube the commands are really easy to use now. In your opinion is there an anvantage of having a storyboard format over Vegas' streamline format.

Storyboard is easy to get started with. Just put the blocks in order and then drag transitions in between. Studio also has a timeline mode. As you get more proficient you spend most of you editing time there.

Sure. If you have Studio 9 you can use Hollywood FX or in Studio 10 or 11 there is a function just for reverse. If you want to know how to use Hollywood FX email Suzanationsolutionsdotcom. She can send you a pdf that I created that takes you step by step.

what i did was i ordered a dazzle 170 capture card which came with pinnacle studio 10 quickstart and i know that is limited but if i upgrade to Studio plus 10 can you walk me through the process?

It depends on what yoou need. For instance, royalty free music, more effects, a decent book on editing, a better microphone, lighting, larger green screen, etc. All can contribute to better videos.
