I like this performance because it has that Stravinskian verve. More staccato? why not, although Stravinsky's performance had a more legato feel to it. Is someone being more popist than the pope? Why not.

merci c'est excellent. Le mélange de concentration intellectuelle et physique, énergie et réflexion - de l'interprète comme du compositeur. Stravinsky prend un style (rag music) le démonte, le reconstruit (de travers) à sa façon détournée mais riche de la mémoire de l'original... C'est comme l'instinct recréé par calcul !
