I think everyone is created equal. It is the choices we make that separate us. We should all try and learn to get along with each other. Hatefulness is a choice. It is not one particular people it is all around. EVERYONE has to come together and end all the hatred. Some people are so deep into their hatred they do not even remember why they behave that way. I remember when I head this song for the first time. That was back in the days when black folk ignored him. Jimi Hendrix was and still is one of the greatest.
Nearly 40 years later and this still doesn't sound dated or out of place. Think they'll say the same about Justin Bieber, Brittany Spears and Lady Gaga?? I think not.
Alan Douglas, who produced this album, always gets alot of shit for his handling of Jimi's music after he died but I've always felt that he did a great job on this album. Midnight Lightning on the other hand was just plain awful.

You can obviously hear the influence he had on the later heavy metal genre, although i stopped listening to modern heavy metal a long time ago, i still listen to this coz it still sounds incredibly fresh & exciting, i could be wrong but if i remember correctly this track has somehitng to do with the white & black devide, & i think he expresses it here with a kind of anger, as with many jimi tracks his music does the talking.

@porsaspersereika Its way simpler than you think.. All you need is a all tube amp and a nice strat... a few effects pedals thrown in here and there but generally its just straight up guitar into amp
@hendrix950 haha well yeah, that's what i thought it was, but a question is which kind of tube amp, which kind of setup on it, which pedals and stuff, but i found the sound, or at least enough similar sound for me through fender bassman, fuzz face, octaves etc
@porsaspersereika What i have is a Marshall class 5 which is a low watt tube combo which i put into a 4x12 cab, fender bassmans are great if you happen to come across one swoop it up lots of saturated goodness with the bassman, its less distorted with louder cleans than Marshalls but the pedals i have i only use sparingly and when needed, dunlop fuzz face, Octave pedal, Wah and of course a good ol' 80s japo strat that i "Aged" and popped a couple of Sheptone pickups in it and MAGIC! Good luck
I am a big Hendrix fan and I was too young to buy his work with the experience, but I caught on fast...I bought this Vinyl Lp when it first came out...Lots of contreversy because many of the songs on this album were demos...Alan Douglas assembled studio muscians to finish the tracks...This track is the experience and was recorded back in 1968...I liked the album many Hendrix purists dismiss many of the tracks because they were tampered with...This song is the real deal....Enjoy...Cajun Out!!!

Alan Douglas, who produced this album, always gets alot of shit for his handling of Jimi's music after he died but I've always felt that he did a great job on this album. Midnight Lightning on the other hand was just plain awful.

You can obviously hear the influence he had on the later heavy metal genre, although i stopped listening to modern heavy metal a long time ago, i still listen to this coz it still sounds incredibly fresh & exciting, i could be wrong but if i remember correctly this track has somehitng to do with the white & black devide, & i think he expresses it here with a kind of anger, as with many jimi tracks his music does the talking.

@porsaspersereika Its way simpler than you think.. All you need is a all tube amp and a nice strat... a few effects pedals thrown in here and there but generally its just straight up guitar into amp

@porsaspersereika What i have is a Marshall class 5 which is a low watt tube combo which i put into a 4x12 cab, fender bassmans are great if you happen to come across one swoop it up lots of saturated goodness with the bassman, its less distorted with louder cleans than Marshalls but the pedals i have i only use sparingly and when needed, dunlop fuzz face, Octave pedal, Wah and of course a good ol' 80s japo strat that i "Aged" and popped a couple of Sheptone pickups in it and MAGIC! I am a big Hendrix fan and I was too young to buy his work with the experience, but I caught on fast...I bought this Vinyl Lp when it first came out...Lots of contreversy because many of the songs on this album were demos...Alan Douglas assembled studio muscians to finish the tracks...This track is the experience and was recorded back in 1968...I liked the album many Hendrix purists dismiss many of the tracks because they were tampered with...This song is the real deal....Enjoy...Cajun Out!!!

@anonymouslolxD ..."Peace in Miss." late 1968 & "Stone Free Again" Spring 1969 were recorded with orig Experience and were complete tracks at time of Jimi's death....My first Hendrix Vinyl Purchase was in '71 with the already charted US version of "Smash Hits"..Like in my earlier post I caught up fast...I never learned to play guitar but like many people today listening to Jimi gave me the knowledge to know a crappy guitar part....Cajun Out!!!
