I am sooooo glad i found this - loved this song - can't wait to show my daughter and play it back over years - tearing up BIG TIME! thanks for posting!
Love this song. I might have an f'ed up career, never did much in sport and have lost one of my two sons (through death) but my marriage is stronger now than when we were just married.
anyone got a ticket for the sunday night corner hotel later show on the 20th, that they want to swap for the earlier afternoon matinee all ages show so they can take their kids??
The first time I heard this amazin' song (and indeed anything by WPA) was when I opened a show for them in '90 in Montreal. I don't think they'd recorded it yet then, it was the Big Don't Argue tour. I was gobsmacked: it was the only time a song ever made me cry at a show. (Almost as heartbreaking/beautiful as all Mick's great songs was the encore, when the bassman came out on his own with a mandolin, & sang the best version of Sam Cooke's "I'm in a Sad Mood")
This song never fails to bring the tears flowing , I have a 6yr old son who is my only reason for getting out of bed on a Saturday and I'd definitely do just about anything he asks me to. Thanks for the awesome vid
This song was writen about my best mate Jim and his old man Stan, Stan was Micks's roadie/guitar tech, now he guitar techs for Elvis Costello. It's beautiful.
Know anyone who can get me 2 tickets to the sold out shows 18th and 19th April? Ive bought airfares from Queensland and then found the shows are sold out?! Will make sure of an earn in it for you. Gordon 0409 557 957

one of the greatest aussie songs ever recorded.
Has anyone got a clip of WPA singing "For A Long Time" which is another of their classics?
