I think this is the one issue that will sink Huckabee's candidacy. Empty rhetoric aside, he has a record of being extremely weak on illegal immigration. I expect his support to plummet as Republican voters become aware of this. And its too bad... otherwise he is a very attractive candidate.

Mike Huckabee is a strong advocate for illegal immigration. In 2003, on a visit to Mexico, he asked Vicente Fox to establish a consulate in Arkansas. Huckabee even arranged discount office space in a state office: just $1 per year.
