  • haven't heard this song before, but it's a very beautiful song...I love it...

dear snowflake, most of my weekends are listening to your songs with my husband at home...so peaceful and contented....enjoying every second and drifting at your sea of songs....

thanks so much for your great songs....

  • @susansaing Thanks

  • Beautiful video! thanks for sharing

  • @pianistmark1121 Thanks.

  • @snowflake, you got my point...thank you..but I don't have Myanmar Actresses picture tho..

@some other people didn't get what I meant.. I am pointing out some other pictures not Thai Princess... this song means about "mahar san thu" we can use this word in every occasion, this word is not only for a particular King and a specific Princess.. be realistic guys.. wake up.. this song is modern song.. not for the history.. wake up plsss..

  • Very good, fusion. I knew original song when I was university days in Burma & like it very much. This is really Burmese song.

After reading all comments, I learnt about Bayintnaung's Thai princess Suphankalaya. I knew about black prince but didn't know about her. @1:23 is her portrait? More beautiful than @1:35. I think before & after captured portraits.

Thank you very much for history & song. I got historical facts & plesure.

  • @54living Thanks.

  • I never heard that version before. Great and thanks for sharing.

  • @SuuChitThu Thanks.

  • i would like to suggest that you should use the photos of Burmese famous actresses like May Shin, Khin Than Nu, Wah Wah Win Shwe, etc.. there are so many "mahasanthu" Burmese actresses rather than using photos from other country..

  • @nunuhtwe Thanks.I used artwork pictures to enhance the appreciation of the song. I don't have artwork pictures of famous Burmese actresses. Please send me the pictures if you have any and I will do another version for you.

  • @nunuhtwe

Since the portrait of the real Princess- Princess Suphankalaya, the royal consort of King Bayin Naung was used in the video, I do not think it was necessary to use the pictures of Myanmar actresses. The video is very beautiful and artistic as it is. I love it.

  • @nunuhtwe

I do not think the Myanmar actresses would be as royal as the real Princess Supankalayar in this video. I think the video is wonderful as it stands. What is amazing about snowflake8439's videos is that they are not only exceedingly beautiful but also the wonderful images fit and enrich the lyric of the songs as well. Please watch her other videos as well and you will have a royal time.

  • @MMAsIngs Thanks.

  • Love the song. Never heard it before, thanks.

Is that the connection, Bayinnaung's conquest of Ayutthaya? He took Prince Ramesuan, son of Suriothai (famous film The Legend of Suriothai), and he died in captivity in Pegu, but Suphankalya, daughter of his sister was exchanged with her brothers Narasuen, the Black Prince, and the White Prince. Thai tourists flock to Bago (Pegu) today even to see the rebuilt Kanbawza Thadi Palace of Bayinnaung, more famous after the release of the film Narasuen.

  • @Wagaung Thanks. Yes. Suphankalaya & her brothers including prince Narasuen were taken to Hantharwaddy (Bago) & were treated well by King Bayint Naung. Suphankalaya became the royal consort of King Bayint Naung. Prince Narasuen was later released to return to Thailand, after taken an oath never to wage war against the King. Suphankalaya was written out of Thai history for 400yrs until recently by historians. She was a granddaughter of Queen Suriyothai.( killed by King Thabin Shwe Htee.)

  • traditional instruments give an authentic flavour to the sound. thanks for uploading. Reminds me of traditional African drums

  • @MISTERMORNE

Yes, the drums did it for me. The full Burmese orchestra in the intro and the interludes blended well with the Western instruments, and judicious interjection of the Burmese drums and the flute literally rocks. Delightful innovation.

  • @MISTERMORNE Thanks.

  • Did Bayin Naung marry the Thai Princess Suphankalaya after he defeated the Thai king and conquered Ayudhaya?

Actually I have never heard this song before. It is a really beautiful and haunting song. Thanks.

  • @MMAsIngs Thanks. Yes, Princess Suphankalaya became the royal consort of King Bayint Naung . He did not destroy Ayudhaya ( Ayutthaya),instead he renovated the temples & Pagodas & he even built one Pagoda near Ayudhaya city wall.He brought Suphankalaya & her brothers including Prince Narasuen to Hantharwaddy (Bago) & let her father King Mahadhamarajathiraj to rule Ayudhaya during 1569 to1574 as a vassal to Myanmar. She was a granddaughter of Queen Suriyothai & was written out of Thai history.

  • Great saing waing and it fused very well with modern instruments. Very beautiful video.

  • @MMAsIngs Thanks.

  • wonderful video! love your work

  • @dutchbaritone08 Thanks.
