Anyways, I love the fur fandom. It's definitely a welcome part of my life and I don't care what people tell me. Furs have helped me through some rough times because we are one huge family. Fur furrever ^^
I actually like being a furry and all, but wearing a costume in public isn't my thing. A reason most people doesn't like furries is mainly because their thinking about those childish shows. Plus most of the whole "furry game" thing had dropped during the Ps1 times (the beginning of the best days of gaming) and most games failed. I cant believe some survived (Like Klonoa and Tailconcerto) in the hands of Namco Bandai. Id say their more entertaining than Sega's Sonic shit.
This actually makes me be proud to be a furry! I just got into the fandom and this was infinitely helpful. Thank you so much for telling everyone what we are actually like and not what people think we are.

I love being a furrie, I just wish there were more out by me that could hang out. I'm personally more on the artist side of things. I do make costumes, but, I've never learned the fursuit making part of it. I do wonder what would happen out here though if I actually started admitting to enjoying being part of the furrie fandom, I mean, there's a mormon church behind me XD and I think there's a church every mile or so out here... The Bible Belt...yay...

@jupreindeer Actually, part of the reason I don't have a fursuit is I'm actually afraid to because of some medical issues, I have seizures and lupus. I have a tail, a real red fox tail, but I'd be leery of wearing it in my neighborhood unless I want to be tackled by my neighbor's great dane. I do draw furry art, but, that sometimes gets the children of my neighborhood asking me to draw their favorite characters xD gotta love kids. @enkeli19 I own several suits. But, I do have issues with being in them. Mainly, claustrophobia. It's subtle and usually takes a while. Once it hits, though, I just want to get out, quickly. The fastest it ever hit was in a strange environment at a bowling alley event. I jus remember trying to climb several stairs and stopping at what felt like a wall of people inside a tiny room. Then, fleeing back to the restroom to return to street clothes. Without the suit, that place was massive...seeming.
@jupreindeer As for basic ears/tail, I've been drawn towards two options, deer and fox. Fox...produces mixed results. A lot of positive, verbal feedback. Lots of quiet stares and some interesting comments. But, it does keep people away from my personal space. Deer, does not. It invites people into wanting to touch it. So, despite deer topping my totem, I...in species fashion...shy away from doing it so often. Did it at work during Christmas. And, a co-worker, male, reached for the tail. Awkward
Very well done till around the last minute or so. The context got way off base with the CSI-adult stuff-10% of any community being strange. Then it cuts to "Talk to us and you'll be shocked". EEK. If the adult issues were to be addressed then address them properly and say the important words. The fact remains that most of us in the fandom are adults and, as such, our characters are adults and will do adult things.
Awesome take on a Fandom/Community that most tend to go, "Yiff in Hell Furfags!" because they take their opinion/view point about this Fandom/Community from stuff like the eps. of CSI titled "Fur and Loathing" or t.v. talk shows like Tyra Banks Show. Its always nice to see a few Furs from within the Community give their take on the Fandom/Community. Hopefully it'll open the closed off minds about this Community to what it really is. Just some normal people who just enjoy varying aspects of it.

its is SO different over here in the UK to what uve said about staying up country, the only way we get that is with Furhouses and con related things. ill see if i can get some friends together and get a UK Fur documentary done, mainly the southfurs as we are much different group to the rest of the UKFurs.
This was very well done. It made me proud to be a fur. It is indeed quite sad how bad of a view some non furs have.. Thinking were a bunch or freaks who love to have sex with animals. I try to spread the word myself of what furs are normally like this video will help allot.

It is a good documentary from a personal standpoint of Huepow, Sin, and Rainhopper (Toast). I do agree it does need to explain other aspects of the fandom a bit more, but they are the "minority" of the fandom.

Don't get me wrong, I respect all of you as human beings but as much as I try I can't bring myself to watch this.
It's like my two hemispheres are in conflict. While one side is saying:
"Hey man don't hate, they just like different things than you",
the other side is yelling:
"DA FUCK IS THIS?!? FURRIES, Y U NO ACT LIKE NORMAL PERSON!"

I love being a furrie, I just wish there were more out by me that could hang out. I'm personally more on the artist side of things. I do make costumes, but, I've never learned the fursuit making part of it. I do wonder what would happen out here though if I actually started admitting to enjoying being part of the furrie fandom, I mean, there's a mormon church behind me XD and I think there's a church every mile or so out here... The Bible Belt...yay...

@jupreindeer Actually, part of the reason I don't have a fursuit is I'm actually afraid to because of some medical issues, I have seizures and lupus. I have a tail, a real red fox tail, but I'd be leery of wearing it in my neighborhood unless I want to be tackled by my neighbor's great dane. I do draw furry art, but, that sometimes gets the children of my neighborhood asking me to draw their favorite characters xD gotta love kids. I'm tempted to start wearing my corset and tail to mess with them

@enkeli19 I own several suits. But, I do have issues with being in them. Mainly, claustrophobia. It's subtle and usually takes a while. Once it hits, though, I just want to get out, quickly. The fastest it ever hit was in a strange environment at a bowling alley event. I jus remember trying to climb several stairs and stopping at what felt like a wall of people inside a tiny room. Then, fleeing back to the restroom to return to street clothes. Without the suit, that place was massive...seeming.

@jupreindeer As for basic ears/tail, I've been drawn towards two options, deer and fox. Fox...produces mixed results. A lot of positive, verbal feedback. Lots of quiet stares and some interesting comments. But, it does keep people away from my personal space. Deer, does not. It invites people into wanting to touch it. So, despite deer topping my totem, I...in species fashion...shy away from doing it so often. Did it at work during Christmas. And, a co-worker, male, reached for the tail. Awkward

Very well done till around the last minute or so. The context got way off base with the CSI-adult stuff-10% of any community being strange. Then it cuts to "Talk to us and you'll be shocked". EEK. If the adult issues were to be addressed then address them properly and say the important words. The fact remains that most of us in the fandom are adults and, as such, our characters are adults and will do adult things.

Awesome take on a Fandom/Community that most tend to go, "Yiff in Hell Furfags!" because they take their opinion/view point about this Fandom/Community from stuff like the eps. of CSI titled "Fur and Loathing" or t.v. talk shows like Tyra Banks Show. Its always nice to see a few Furs from within the Community give their take on the Fandom/Community. Hopefully it'll open the closed off minds about this Community to what it really is. Just some normal people who just enjoy varying aspects of it.

its is SO different over here in the UK to what uve said about staying up country, the only way we get that is with Furhouses and con related things. ill see if i can get some friends together and get a UK Fur documentary done, mainly the southfurs as we are much different group to the rest of the UKFurs.

This was very well done. It made me proud to be a fur. It is indeed quite sad how bad of a view some non furs have.. Thinking were a bunch or freaks who love to have sex with animals. I try to spread the word myself of what furs are normally like this video will help allot.

This is extremely awesome and uplifting. I'd call it inspirational but I'm already in the fandom. But if I would have seen this first, before any of the art or stories or anything, I'm sure I'd be itching to find out more and get into this wonderful community. And I totally agree, furries are definitely one of the more accepting and hospitable people out there. Like the roo guy said, I can pick anywhere (almost) in the US and some places out of, and I have a friend who will help me out. ^^

It is a good documentary from a personal standpoint of Huepow, Sin, and Rainhopper (Toast). I do agree it does need to explain other aspects of the fandom a bit more, but they are the "minority" of the fandom.

@MrTrollasaurusRex I was actually making a reference to a movie that I've seen about a billion times due to it being on display at work. In the opening to the movie "Elf", an elder elf, later identified as the foster parent of Buddy, a human who had managed to get into Santa's bag at an orphanage, explains how elves are perfect for the job of making toys at the north pole. He states that they tried gnomes and trolls, but gnomes drank too much and trolls weren't toilet-trained.
