@Xsniper90X Yeah the lack of traditional codec calls in MGS4...whether they are long codec calls, funny calls, or whatever codec calls, I was disappointed they took them out of MGS4. I also missed being able to just call whenever I wanted, and have a different answer everytime. In MGS1, 2 and 3, there were so many different conversations for so many random situations...i loved it. I guess they took it out in MGS4 because too many ppl complained about the calls being too "long" :)

and i would say the codec calls are missing due to the amount of space it would cost the bluray disc, but then again, how much space could codec alls even take up? they didnt have to put on a video then. they couldve kept it the way it was in mgs2.

i guess thats a fail on kojima. maybe dlc for codec?

@Xsniper90X Yeah you can skip the codec, but still, people complain I don't know why. And it's not about the space, as you said the original codec calls wouldent take so much space...it's really just that Kojima wanted to please everybody. In MGS3 he simplified the plot and the characters' personalities, and in MGS4 he also took away the codec calls, and funny moments. Check out "metal gear documentary" on youtube, you'll find some videos that explain why Kojima made those changes.
