I got this game at Christmas last year. I wanted to play this song so bad after watching videos of it, and was dreading playing VerTex. I play VerTex on Expert and get a 95% while I play this and don't even make it halfway through on Expert.
Euphoria is a lot harder than VerTex. The only reason VerTex is a 12 is because mines were a new concept and that song is loaded with them. but Euphoria is definitely harder by most standards
Slowest 12 of all, hardest KaW song (until Indulgence in Rebirth). Slowest :) song. Indulgence is KaW's only 13, while Summer ~Speedy Mix~ is :)'s only 13. And, there's only four 14's in the whole ITG series, two in ITG 3, and two in ITG Rebirth. All of them are Chromatic Blitz, Hasse Mich, ReaF, and (oh, you already should've guessed) Vertex^3.
Have you reached the 9 yet? There's two 9 charts, one of them is in In The Groove (Arcade), and the other in In The Groove 2 (Arcade), and ITG PS2 USA. The one in ITG (Arcade) is easy for a 9. In fact, I know some really 8's, and 9's for you.

This and Bloodrush are the only two ITG1/2 12's that I cannot AA on Stepmania. The rest, even Determinator (0_0), I can AA. HOTN's beats are too easy to practice. ! is the only 12 I've passed on pad. I've done all 12's on pad already. Determinator I've tried the most for some strange reason.
True, KONAMI is a greedy jerk. ITG isn't the only thing he's taken rights to, believe it or not, KONAMI actually also filed a lawsuit against Guitar Hero, thinking Rock Band is the original, it is not. Face it, the only way this tycoon greed can stop is if KONAMI is sued by someone else like Nintendo, SEGA, or Sony. What's the hardest you can pass on pad? I regret the first time I tried Determinator. I only tried it because the chart info said 622 steps, with barely any Holds, or jumps.
Konami filed a lawsuit against Rock Band/Guitar Hero because of the instruments, resembling the original Guitar Freaks and Drummania. Rock Band, technically, is the original Guitar Hero in the sense that both games were started by the same company, Harmonix. Fact is, Konami had the guitar and buttons first. They have every right to sue if they need to. Same went with In The Groove, especially with 1 literally being a modification of DDR machines.

Which, IMO, shouldn't even have mattered as other arcade games of other genres were doing the exact thing for 20+ yrs up until that point - especially made easy with the majority, IIRC, using JAMMA standards for wiring.

Kyle A. Ward switches alibis for different kinds of songs. If you listen to his other KaW songs, they are techno featuring all kinds of different instruments. His smiley songs are happy, super-fast, in major, and just plain fun. In this song, the majority of it is KaW, but in the 1:05 part, he is smiley.
