I'm Cryin' and Pride and Joy are companion songs. This was done intentionally so that one sounds happy and one sounds sad. It's to show that how a simple change in lyrics can change the whole mood of a song. To say that SRV was "high" when he wrote that song is just plain ignorant and immature.
Nothing against you guys, but I just felt like I needed to point that out.
Not electric blues/blues rock. Aerosmith, Cream, The Doors, BB Chung King & the Buddaheads, Corby Yates Band, Steve Miller Band, Derek & the Dominoes, George Thorogood, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Super 400, Foghat, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Rick Derringer... All really awesome and unique blues rock artists.
Yes but traditional blues IE SRV Johnny Winter is all the same 3 songs at different speeds with awesome lyrics and solos. They all have the same song plan too. Riff Riff Lyrics Riff Solo Riff Lyrics Riff Solo Riff Riff end song.
bullshit! two of the songs from that album are blues tracks that sound exactly the same. i heard that album a couple of times and that is the main reason why i think it is a little overrated.
the album is really good but not classic shit good.
Didn't you guys play a bit of each song before you started talking in the old reviews? I seem to remember that. It was really helpful in forming my own opinion of the song. I couldn't tell what Cookie was talking about during his review for Lenny.
Dont know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but Lenny was his wife. WIFE ie. WOMAN Lenora Bailey whom he married in 1979 and divorced in 1988. GUY WITH WIKIPEDIA AND NO LIFE...AWAAAYYYYY WHOOOOSH!!
"Normal drum beat?" In the blues for decades this sort of drum beat was used by every single drummer in any band, and even into the early 70s most bands didn't have any sort of interesting drum beat...
lol sucks to be the drummer for these songs though, not gonna lie
LOL I'M CRYIN IS A STALKER i would totally buy both tracks....(sarcasm)...

I'm Cryin = Pride and Joy Part 2(The Break-Up :(
itscoolbro2 2 years ago
Here are the rest:
Rude Mood - they both rhyme
Testify - he went to a law court and gave evidence because that is what testify means LOL
Mary Had a Little Lamb - he knows poetry
Dirty Pool - he was going to his friend's house and looked at the neighbor's dirty pool
I'm Cryin' - another companion song to Pride and Joy because that is one too OR he forgot about Pride and Joy like xygni said
Lenny - his wife's name
Lahmed95 3 years ago
If his songs off of T-Flood name people or things, this is what they maybe could be but I am making these up:
Love Struck Baby - while he made the song and he saw a lovely girl, he was love-stricken
Pride and Joy - he sure knows his emotions!
Texas Flood - he went to Texas and it flooded
Tell Me - he probably wanted to know something about somebody and kept saying "TELL ME! TELL ME!"
Lahmed95 3 years ago
Wait, you forgot New by No Doubt!
Lahmed95 3 years ago
Well, it's got 2363 notes. So yeah, $236.30 would probably get you a handful of hookers (really cheap ones) and a fuck ton of cotton candy, so yeah.

"id be able to afford a hooker orgy....and cotton candy" lol fucking awesome
