  • Very nice Dana &, inspiring. Thanks for this.

  • Can't imagine what it might be like to play montuno on the left hand so accurately.

I've been working on a lot of similar stuff, but NOT very much of Latin influence.

    Please check them out.

  • I have a question for you Dana. It's a pretty cool thing but do you use your two feets, one for the wood block and one for the vibes pedalling ? And your hands ? Only one for the vibes and the other on the cascara ?? I would like to learn to play things like that too. Do you have a book or method that would help me to play montunos on the vibes, for comping? I can deal with others things like claves.

  • @Jcc477 Yes, Using both feet and hands as you describe. Check out any of the great piano montuno books and make your own vibes adaptation. If you want lessons online, contact me.

  • Very cool d

  • you are still amazing. too bad for the percussion guy, you have stolen his job. maybe you can charge double for gigs now! keep it up man!

  • damn, i never thought of that!

  • As a fellow Musician and multifaceted player, I must say you need to be in my Band. Love it. And you're not Cuban or even Latino? You certainly have the Soul...

  • Glad I'm your DFW neighbor.

  • The idea is so easy and the same time so difficult to perform. Well done!
