Nice, thorough demo! Did you end up selling your bike? I've had great experience with Dahon bikes - I often use my Boardwalk to bike home from work ( 18 mile commute).
(((_{-_-}_))) cool lil bike, that guys about 280 lbs too, i'm still looking for the weight, price and warranty, i couldnt hear the rep, nice bike though :)
Sweet video Vindicated. I like the unfold sequence where you lift it up. People love to see how easy it is to lift a folding bike. Looking forward to your first blog! Keep 'em coming!
I weight 104kg (229 lbs) and when I ride my Dahon Eco it feels as if the tires deflate after riding it for 4 or 5 times. Do you get this impression with the Curve?
hey,, i wonder if these bikes are enough fast and if you have to put more effort because of the short of their tires.I might buy the expresso, the one whit 21 inches tires.
hi, few questions for ya...do you find that on steeper hills or on long flats you had more than 3 gears? does it ride noticably worse/better than the 20 in dahon models? where did you find the white color one at? i ask because i am getting a dahon but i am torn between the curve d3 and the vitesse d7hg.
Hello. I really enjoyed riding the Curve D3. I've recently sold it. I did find the bike to be very quick and nimble. The 3 gears are well spaced and allow you to go at a good speed. I've not ridden a 20 inch Dahon, but have gone through Cyclescheme at work and am waiting for a Dahon Vitesse D7 (2009) ao will be posting a review on here soon. I did find that I would max out my speed on the D3 though you'll be hard pressed on the flat to consistently push it on the high gear.
thank you for your response. i ended up getting the curve d3 and ive only had it for a day or so but so far i like the ride a lot. it is more twitchy but that is to be expected with a 16in bike. your were right about the gearing i am very pleased with the spacing as well as how quick and nimble it is just like you said. thanks again for the advice! oh, and i got a red one cuz that is the only color they sell in the u.s. unfortunately : ( lol
Hi, thanks for your video, lokks most convincing... You are having financial trouble, why don´t you sell not your bike, but a lot of them... I tell you this video and you are convincing and that is a value for a maker. Good luck.
Im a bike enthusiast, I live in Mexico city (One of the least bike-friendly cities in the world btw, shame on us) and recently I bought a mini cooper folding bike in Japan. I think it is beautiful but I would like to know what is the REAL brand of the bike. Help?? Thanks in advance
Hola!
could you tell me where exactly is the place the chain rubs ? I'll get my curve D3 in some days and it would be great to be able to avoid that damage!
Hello. I live in Cardiff, S. Wales and due to finances am considering having to sell my beloved little bike to raise some extra cash. Anyone interested? I'd be looking to start bidding at £175 as its a great bike, in good condition and only being sold to raise money, not for fault in the bike. If interested let me know. Thanks. May 18th 2009
Hi. I'm thinking of being a Curve D3 owner soon... Is it possible to leave the seatpost in its unfolded state and push the folded bicycle and make it roll on its wheels?
Hi there. I was very pleased to find out that when folded you can roll the bike on its' wheels. You can drop the seatpost to a good height for walking with and no problems. I'll try to get a new video on here someday soon to show this. Its a cool bike, you'll like it.
What i really love is how the maker of this video aware of himself as a good demonstration of how a CD3 could support people at his size. Hitting the right spot. Not to mention all the effort in making this vid alone.
I am a folding bike enthusiast and want people of all sizes to be able to enjoy them. If others who are concerned if their size would inhibit them enjoying a D3 or another similar folder are inspired by this vid to get out riding, getting heathy and ejoying a cool folder then I am happy to hear it. I've been meaning to make a new video and will do sometime soon. Thanks for your comment!
Hey buddy. |'ve lost lots since filming this vid, but was about 125kgs at the time. The bike had no problems supporting the weight, but might be worth finding a local dealer who might let you test ride one. Where do you live?
by the way i live in malaysia and my country just start to promote this kind of folding bike and i like to have 1 but i not sure can support my weight or not anyway thanks a lot .
Nice vid. Looks like you really get a lot of kilometers on that Dahon Curve D3. When you're pulling the tube out of the postpump, you can do so more easily if you stick your finger into the little hole at the back of the receptacle housing the tube to push the nozzle out first. When you do that, the nozzle is exposed for easy grabbing so you don't need to dig at it to get a grip.
Thanks for this video, I was looking into buying a Folding bike but was worried that I was too big for one, your about my size so i think I'm safe, LOL
Thanks again.
P.S. It was kind of hard to hear you but other than that I saw all that I needed to, glad no one took your camera while you were filming bro!, ha ha
Good video buddy. Im looking to buy one, but not sure if there is a good bag that fits this bike properly. The one from Dahon looks too big and more for 20 inch bikes...
hey bro. glad you liked the vid. The Dahon Curve fits reasily and cheaply into a blue Ikea bag. May not look great in a big blue bag, but as the Dahon 'El Bolso' is simply to big and costs 30 - 40 dollars, the Ikea bag is a good alternative. I'll film it and post as a video response soon. Nice one.
@VindicatedBliss How much did you buy this?

The curve is a lot of fun and great for commuting. I got it on Ebay, but lots of shops carry the white (cloud) version.
