Pure acoustic. that's the way it's done. And ever more so valid in this hyper-digital age. I work in the music business and I fond that kids, in North America at least; are more concerened about new iphone apps for their guitar, and connecting their firewire to their blah-blah-blah yet still noticing some latency from ProTools due to the yadda-yadda-yadda getting dicomboobalated in the pre-fade mix of the whatever. If that makes sense to you, then you obviously know what I mean.

I don't remember wether they stopped and started again at some point or if Istopped filming for some reason (mistakes happen)... But it's actually two bits of one reharsal that I glued together, maybe 10, 30 sec are missing ?

Django wrote this walz as a young boy, before the accident in his trailer.

Nobody knows this for sure... Django never recorded any walz at all. But more important: it is a beautiful and sweet song!

I fully agree with you, beautiful. However I do want to point at the book Michael Dregni wrote about Django. He states Django in 1935 made a tesrecording of this walz, (Page 33)acccompanied by his sister Sara on piano (the record was never released). Dregni states was confirmed by Sara in 2003 (Page 282). Mind you, I do NOT want to start a lengthy discussion, I just tell what a read.

Django never recorded it. It's known from a version by Matelot Ferret, available on "Tziganskaia and Other Rare Recordings, 1960-78". He attributes it to Django.
