  • I love these comments. There's some people left out there that love REAL hip-hop!

  • great song, great performance! the performance aspect of rap has really dropped to horrendous levels since the early 90s ... now it's just a bunch of hangers-on on stage, screaming over every punchline.

look out for peedi crakk's remake of this song, so dope.

  • from 2:30 and on just gives me chills.

  • AND THEY COMIN' BACK!

  • Jazzy is just plain sick...

  • ya ya

  • NOW THATS ONE TOUGH ACT TO FOLLOW!!! LONG LIVE JAZZY JEFF & THE FRESH PRINCE!!!

  • 2.00 - 2.50 , holy shit- awesome. others try and follow that. Jeff and Will rocks.

  • You know they talk about Will not getting tired...If you've ever been a real DJ, you would know what Jeff is doing, not only took skill but endurance! Boy Bad...And, never missed a beat...

  • My Favorite JAM, Jazzy and Will Rock the house

  • I wanted to know what happened when the girl walked up to him last night at the club at the end of the video :(

  • you all are wrong. will smith is an insane rapper. he can flow, and he has a hype personality unlike other monotone rappers that can bore the crap out of you in a matter of minutes. jazzy did not back up a "wack rapper". you must all think he's too cheesy and doesnt cuss enough in his lyrics.

  • @metalupurass11 i'm pointing at you especially ahhyo2006

  • @metalupurass11 I agree 100 percent Ive been saying that Will Smith aka Fresh Prince can flow and is dope for years. he just knew that he wasnt a gangster and stuck to his true self

  • Great music! One of my first HIP HOP albums I bought well worth it

  • brilliant

  • Just amazing!

  • this is the fresh prince and jazzy jeff that i fell in love with in the 80's. most folks think of them as being cheesy and soft... but jazzy jeff is an amazing dj/producer and will actually has a good flow. love it! thanks for posting.

  • holy fuck

    jeff still got it!!!!

  • @kotep777 FYI, Jazzy NEVER LEFT!!!! The illest DJ to EVER grace the "one and two's"

  • DJ Jazzy Jeff was one of the dopest DJ's around. It's just a damn shame that he hooked up with a whack rapper. It's like putting pearls on a swines neck.

  • @ahhyo2006 Yeah the millions they made back in the 80's must have just been horrible for him...

  • post the rest of this video please!!

  • besides summertime, this is the only other song that i like by fresh prince

  • This is bad ass

  • i liked his rap before he went do the tv thing, the rap he made after that was really sappy

  • OMG THIS GAVE ME CHILLS IT WAS SO DOPE!!

  • this is hot...y is it he doesnt rap lik this anymroe ...? all of his released singles seem type cheesy...he needs 2 come back 2 this shit

  • @killermel23 It's because he went solo after he went all Hollywood, so he had to figure out how to appeal to the white people that didn't like rap before Men In Black.

  • @EweToobUsername and because I'm both white and liked the old DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince stuff, I can say that about other white people.

  • They ripped it up that night. I love how Jeff was scratching.

  • I dont even like rap hardly at all and when he does it I like it! it shows you how good he is and news flash you dont have to be a rapper to swear and say gangster stuff. And I can understand what he says! Hes the real deal none of those stupid ass rappers that only care about themselves and shit fuck that. lovee him and jazzy jeff and how does he not get tired? I would have collapsed and died lol

  • thats stupid those stupid supposebly hard asses would make fun of him because he wasnt hard enough? Thats so stupid some of those guys probably just right about that crap but never lived it and whats so hard about talking about violence and drugs and shit? Its stupid and Wills the greatest those peeps were just jealous cause they could never be like him.

  • The best ever, will smith don't cus, never killed anyone. an the man still sells millions

  • haha damn straight! hes great

  • oldschool : )

  • The best DJ in the Cosmos...Jeff Townes aka Jazzy Jeff

  • they just said he wasnt hard enough cause of his competition back in the day...iremember bumpin his tape on my front porch hangin out

  • I'm Ready ;-)

  • cats say will is corny and yea maybe some of the stuff he did was corny but hes a fucking genius there aint many mcs that can do what he did

  • For those who thought he needed a ghost writer on his newer albums cause he couldnt get lyrical , I think this record shows he has always been dope.

  • "Brand New Funk" was one of my favorite tracks growing up. This was so refreshing to hear re-done 15 years later. Wow.

  • I almost teared up in the middle..lol.

    *~P3AC3~*

  • can anybody name one group oops i mean rapper that can do this now? Will is an m.c. not one of these southern drawl chicken head yappers!. Your suppose to rock with the crowd you feed off what YOUR dj does that's a show!!!

  • This was my favorite Fresh Prince song back in the day- thanks for posting this!!

  • Will Smith has done eveything well rap shows records sitcom and now movies. Will and Jazzy ahd a flow second to none

  • who said will smith is corny if what he use to do and currently doing now i'll be corny my damn self lol!!!

  • Will is one of the illest. Cats who know the craft and can think for themselves know what's up. Rappers tried to clown him when he broke away from only rapping to doing movies and tv. Now some of your nicest emcees are thirsty to make their way to the big screen. More money in movies than in music...trust!

  • i dont care what anybody says about will smith. he rocked that shit with no hype man and never ran out of breath! thats a real mc in my eyes! most rappers got about 15 guys on the stage all shouting at once!

  • @howeverclever YEAH!!!! Thats when MC's were REALLY MC's--Masters of Ceremonies... The whole mission was to have fun and move the crowd. Not talk about b**ches, h**s, whips, jewelry, and AUTOTUNE!!! (Ugh...)

  • are u ready i can't hear u aduio scream let me have a word with u !!!!!1!1!11!

  • This is one of those few joints from them that I liked but never 'Parents don't understand' which I understood was for the general populace.

  • These dudes are awesome!

  • man... i wish they would tour together again. i would pay anything to go see them

  • Will smith's got his growl goin

  • Awesome. i had no idea they did a show together so recently.

    awesome!

  • Awesome song, Classic song, but never to old =)

  • Fuck soulja boy, or 50 shit..

This was TRUE rap! : D

  • so quick to hate on others cuz they just discovered fresh prince at his best? haha

    damn

  • Classic i had it on tape and CD and now as a download on the Ipod!!!! Olskool is still hot!!!!

  • Oh yes! I love that song from DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince.

  • As a 45 y.o. old head, All I can say is this is STILL A CLUB BANGA!!!

  • lmao FOSHO

  • Ok so with this proformance we all know why Jazzy and Prince are hailed as Philly's finest. I want to take your thoughts to a new level. The rap is about a song that was hot and popping at the club, which made this joint hot and popping. Genius!!!

  • ma che ne sannooooo!!!!!!

  • amazing. is there any way i can get this version of the song on a mp3 clip..can some one help me

  • this version is on the single mix...the version is Live at coliseum...you get from vinyl in a file!!

  • Hip Hop at it's best!

  • I still respect Will as a rapper first then an actor

  • I'm from Philly and I loved this the first time I heard it, which by the way was 4 days ago lol

  • this is the best song that they ever wrote and sang

  • why people acting like jazzy jeff is some flunky side kick to the prince- jazzy jeff is one of the greatest producers in hip hop-the man is a legend! and will was a dope emcee outside of the commercial hits they had!---LIVE FROM NYC----

  • I love the fact as big and rich as Will got he never has seen to have forgotten about Jazzy Jeff. Thats a true friend right there.

  • I agree. Surprisingly I've always liked Will Smith depsite being a fan of far more intellectual forms of hip-hop. I think he's one of the few artists who tried to stick with the feel of the late 80's/early 90's because that's what he liked, just like how he keeps it clean because that what he wants to do. He's always been a decent rapper and Jeff's always been decent on the decks. People (including lots of my hip-hop buddies) slate him for being soft, but I respect him for it.

  • @bamccull JAZZY made WILL funky AND relevant to hip-hop heads!!! They needed EACH OTHER!!!!

  • 1988 all over again! This is true hip-hop right here!! We need some more of this!

  • I BEEN BUMPIN THIS JAM FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!! still holds up!

  • vom feinsten jear haahaa vote4nr1 !!!

  • will smith is the kign of philly not cassidy or gilly

  • Hip-Hop at it's finest. It doesn't get any better than this.

  • It would be really cool to see Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff go on tour, and reunited.

  • will smith is bad meaning good

  • this song is cool

  • Will and Jeff can still tour 'Old Skool" and pack it out! This jam is still hittin' with the 35 - 41 crowd!

  • was that rock the bells by ll cool j that jazzy jeff mix in it?

  • TEMAZO!!!

  • they all work with overbrook i think. i saw pics of the whole crew as hey are today. charlie mack is a promoter. omar is like an agent. wiz..i forgot what he does. ready rock is "saved" and doesn't really talk to the crew
