Crazy to think a 'full-price' game only had 3 levels but there you go. I actually liked this on the CPC. It was colourful, had Jackie Wilson chip tunes and that funky last level where you get to almost perfectly re-enact (for a crappy old 8bit machine) the finalé of the film, positioning Peter, Egon and Winston to slime the fuck out of Ray in front of *that* painting. Ah, nostalgia.
CPC version look better - has better colors and is more suitable for such a system. PC is good... for office stuff :) Wanna games today? Buy console. That's, of course, only my opinion.
I could never do the first level, that green spider like thing always kept cutting the dam rope. Still i like the Amstrad rendition of the Ghostbusters theme music, I wonder who did it, sounds like either David Whitacker's or Jonathan Dunn's style.
Ha, you poor sods think this level was hard, you should have seen the next one with the Statue of Liberty. The final level was probably the easiest of the bunch but was also the most fiddly, it went isometric and you had to position all four Ghostbusters to zerg Vigo then get Ray in front of the painting and nuke him too.
loved this game completed it after hours of playing night after night just you have to kill that painting dude and his human buddy then there it s a load of pics at the end of everyone happy and smiling baby saved yay
Nice vid ... think the CPC version was the best out of the 8-bits, love the animated face when Ray gets grabbed by one of those haunted hands! Sound fx is not too hot though.
