The Veronicas are better songwriters but Everlife are better performers. Comparing the versions is apples and oranges, though, because this is the V's song. Period. A cover that's as faithful to the original as Everlife's Faded isn't realistically going to be considered the best version. This isn't Pretty Woman or When You Say Nothing At All, where the best versions have been covers.
