I would say between 1-2 weeks. when the tail is a stub start offering food right away so the frog will learn to eat, I suggest tiny crickets, fruit flies, or small earthworms. try at night since they prefer to eat at night at first, they will hunt close to the waters edge.

@keithp PLEASE HELP! MY NEIGHBOR HAS A SMALL PLANTER THAT WHEN IT RAINS, IT FILLS WITH WATER, AND FROGS LAY THEIR EGGS IN THERE. EVERY TIME, HE DRAINS IT, SINCE MOSQUITOES. BEFORE HE DID THAT LAST TIME, HOWEVER, I FISHED OUT THE TADPOLES. I PUT THEM IN A TANK WITH MY BETA FISH, (THEY GET ALONG GREAT) BUT NOW, THEY'VE GROWN INTO FROGS ALMOST! THE BIGGEST ONE WILL BE HALF AN INCH! WHAT DO I FEED THEM! PLEASE! I NEED HELP QUICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off get them out of the betta tank tadpoles should not be mixed with bettas. If they are small frogs with no tails, they need a tank with land and water. A 10-20 gallon tank is good. Make sure they have land to go on, they sell plastic islands for turtles that have suction cups to stick to the tank. Try feeding them tiny crickets,flightless fruit flies, and tiny earthworms. You didnt say what type of frog or toad they are, feeding them depends on the species.

It would be great if you can post a video of them and send it to me or the link here. If they have front arms, but still have their tail, they will not eat, get them in the tank with half land/half water. When their tail is gone they will need to be fed live foods right away.

@keithp hey thx for the reply now my bullfrogs(American) is healthy...one of then didnt eat anything & died...which is like FTW???Wanna n=know something stupid?I bought 2 tadpoles with arms & legs last Friday and they both died!!!Well both of them were losing there color and skin but it might be a infection while it was growing

when they grow the front arms they stop eating until their tail disappears.

Yes, when they get all 4 arms they live off their tail, thats why it shrinks. Once the tail is gone, then the frog start eating live bugs.
