  • LOL Temple haven't beated Penn St. since before WW2? dayum.

  • @pennstatelou the have the defense to beat San Diego St and I agree rob can't play at qb he just not that good

  • @pp3k3jamail but mcquery and jay paterno have a habit of sticking with bad qbs(morelli).mcgloin has more talent and i believe his decision making wouldimprove if he knew he would start and finish the game.hes afraid of screwing up so he screws up.bolden isnt tough.he doesnt get angry or paly with a chip on his shoulder.psu's defense is good but they weaken when their offense cant get the opponet off the field which has been the case the past four seasons. WE ARE...!

  • @MVillani1985 since 2005 Penn St a 12win 2008 11 wins 2009 11 wins and 2006 and 2007 they was 9 and 4 both those seasons

  • @pp3k3jamail That's what I've been saying, Penn State is a consistent team but some people seem to want an unrealistic level of success. To these people not winning the Big Ten every year means we're a middle of the pack team like Purdue when historically we've been more like Michigan, a lot of up years with the occasional down year (usually meaning less than 9 wins).

  • @mvillani1985 what the only big ten that has had Penn St number has been Iowa and Penn St won the big ten title in 2005 and in 2008 and was 11. 2 in 2009

  • i live in alabama and have been a psu fan since 1980,ithis is the first time in 30 years i am embarrased to wear my psu shirts on saturdays.this coaching staff must go.their game plan struggeled against temple the same way it struggled against bama.are those teams equally good?i think not.psu is that bad and it begins with the coaching staff.psu wont win 6 games this season because they dont have an upset win in them.

  • @ST8URCASE If you know your history, this wasn't the first time Penn State struggled against Temple, they did a few times in the 70s as well. Don't jump on the "Joe Must Go" and "the dark years are back" bandwagon because of a bad game. You should know that one bad game doesn't mean it's a losing season. Penn State usually does bad after an ugly loss. This is not the same Temple team we beat 47-0 in 2006 anyway. Were you also certain we'd have a losing season in 2006 when we struggled early?

  • @MVillani1985 mv i know my psu history and recognize all paterno has accomplished.what has psu record been since 2006?when was the last time psu beat iowa, wisconsin, ohio state and michigan in the same season?when has the offense been on field more than the defense?when did psu challenge for a big ten or national title?when was the last time psu had multiple personal foul penalties called in a game?when will the current qb's throw a td pass?joe gotta go along with every offensive coach.

  • @ST8URCASE Why 2006? Why not 2005? Since 2005 we've had 3 11 win seasons and two more 9 win seasons. Not exactly horrible. Is last year all that counts? And I don't think we've played those 4 all in the same year ever, actually. And in case you're wondering, Penn State had a boatload of penalties against Minnesota in 2009. In 2005 and 2008 (and sort of in 2009) Penn State was in the national title discussion. But answer me this question, if we fired Joe today, who would you want as head coach?

  • @MVillani1985leach from texas tech, myers if he'll unretire, shciano from rutgers or temple's coach.its time for psu to start a new era.psu should consistently beat those teams because those teams lead to the national big ten title.those teams are ranked in the top ten and lead to a national title.in the seasons you named to which teams did state lose?it been the same and will continue until there is a new head coach.the defense is solid, its the offense that sucks and its the coaches fault.

  • @ST8URCASE Schiano has lost his luster lately with Rutgers struggling again, Temple's current coach Adazzio may be a good coach but he's just working with what Al Golden did. And do you really want Penn State to turn into a revolving door of coaches who use this to jump ship to a better job or fail and get fired? We won't even be average anymore.

I thought outside of the first quarter the offense looked solid yesterday. Not every team can be the 08 team, but that doesn't mean they suck.

  • @MVillani1985 i want a coach who will win consistently.what better job than psu?this is penn state.coaches would die to have that job and would rather suffer with a new coach installing anew system than battle for mediocrity every four years to have one good season.states offense is predictable and stale.choose a qb and call plays centered on his ability.silas redd should get the ball 2 out of 4 plays from different sets.to win in the big ten theyd better be like the 08 team

  • @ST8URCASE Well, Joe is a consistent winner outside of the dark years. Tell me how many teams have had constant success? Texas? 5-7 last year. Oklahoma? 7-5 two years ago, Florida? 7-5 last year. Alabama? 6-6 three years ago. USC and Ohio State maybe, but are recruiting violations and eventually vacating half your wins down the stretch worth it? And do you really want to risk going the route Nebraska did in the 00s? The years under Callahan were pretty painful for the Huskers.

  • @MVillani1985 psu has and can win without cheating.paterno put the starting kicker on the bench and stefon green is on the practice squad.psu hasnt been relevant in the big ten in 5 seasons and all those teams have won national titles in the paste ten years.whats the solution for psu?psu has talent, fans travel to away games, psu games are televised and big ten teams are tough.coaching is psu's problem.paterno and the offense are predictable and this qb thing is embarassing WE ARE...!

  • @ST8URCASE You said before that Paterno is too stubborn and predictable but doesn't him finally benching Evan Lewis contradict that? Now your second point - Penn State hasn't been relavent in the Big Ten lately? What about 08 and 09? Even 06 sort of. And the national title thing is part luck. Do you remember how Ohio State got in in 07? Could have easily happened to us in 05, 08, or even 2009. My solution is watch the team grow into something good in 2011. We saw signs on Saturday of progress.

  • @MVillani1985 dont ever think i dont psu to have another year like '86.i just dont want it to happen every 5 seasons.psu doesnt have the media love affair that osu has because psu players are more business like than flash.psu has enough talent to always contend in the big ten and must go undefeated to be considered for the national title.i liked mcgloin saturday but i want that effort against osu, wisc .iowa and neb.the coaching staff has let me down the past 4 seasons in big games

  • @ST8URCASE Well, PSU does usually contend for the Big Ten but doesn't always win. In 2006 for example change one play in the Ohio State and Michigan games and they're co-champs. Realistically most teams have a mix of rebuilding years, good years, and stellar years. Like Oklahoma for example. Contending for a national title in 2008, 7-5 in 2009, but were spanked by WVU in 2007 yet winning the Big XII. Even OSU despite winning the Big 10 most years played in two NC games since 2006 (lost both).

  • @MVillani1985 i agree.psu is due a 3 season run.i hope they begin now.

  • where's stephfon green at?

  • Bolden does not have the attitude to lead a major college team. Let him go at the end of the season. He generates a negataive pall over the program.

  • @PennStateLou he got us the game winning drive you jackass.

  • Turned it off had better things to do. Went to a great game that afternoon as sdsu beat Washington State. I honestly do not believe Penn State could not beat SDSU this season.
