Day by day by day by day by day, The working hour and Famous last words are probably my top three songs with Roland, but I never know because suddenly some new favorite turns up. Memories fade ...It's strange that so many people can avoid such a brilliant band.
Roland is one of the most underrated singers in music. The 80's pop stuff was ok, but when Elemental came out, I truly became a fan. Then Raul took it to a whole new level. What an amazing album. One of the best pop/rock albums ever.
I agree with you. Orzabal-Griffiths co-works are superb even if there are many other contributors. It's hard to understand why "Tomcats.." didn't get to impress as many people as "Elemental", "Raoul.." and "Saturnine.." did.
TCSO (to me) was Roland grown up, so to speak. Not that I don't LOVE all of his music. This song in particular is absolutley beautiful, sexy and sad all at the same time. His voice and pich are perfect. Snowdrop is also a fav.off of that CD. Oh and For The Love Of Cain, and Maybe Our Days Are Numbered...Hell, I guess all of them are. lol.
Heartfelt Birthday wishes, Roland! August 22, 2011. You make my day with your beautiful songs!

A brilliant song and brilliant album. Roland Orzabal is a genius. It's a tragedy that very few people know about this album.

Yeah, I agree, I don't know how TFF and Roland's genius just fell through the cracks, can it be the truly sublime is something not that obvious?
