The only issue I find with Islamic clothing for women is that they are not made in larger sizes. I wear a 16 womens and when I try to shop online, none of the clothes are made in my size. Please, please begin making modest clothing for the plus sized Muslimah. We want to look nice, too.

People think muslim girls who cover themselves aren't like other girls lol...fact is they like guys and even sex, and they talk about it all the time. They got their own fashion so that they can try and shine like all girls like to do. These girls want the same as any other girls, it's just that they hide it more effectively.
I honestly don't see anything wrong with a woman covering up herself. A covered woman always gives a a more confident vibe than a woman who is showing off her entire body. No matter how intelligent a woman is, if she's showing off her entire body, it's a fact that she won't be treated seriously. This is coming from a Catholic girl.
i know but i feel sorry for these girls. It's not a bad thing to cover yourself, but they've never experienced the freedom of wearing shorts out when the weather is boiling hot, or wearing a pretty cocktail dress. Any respectable girl sets limits regarding clothing, but to take it this far is unfair. My muslim friends seem like they are always regretting it. They always say no to go shopping because they know they'll never be allowed to wear the same variety of clothing that others do
@MonicaKn17 ...I guess it also depends on the person and how strict their upbringing is. I have several muslim friends who once in a while wear short sleeve shirts and sandals, but not often. One of them also chooses not to wear a veil, but most of the time she wears conservative yet stylish clothing. I can honestly say that she's one of the most confident persons I know because she doesn't have to worry about anyone looking at certain body parts while she works.
@MonicaKn17 ...I was raised in the Catholic religion and they're not strict on how a woman should dress (except in church of course, where you should dress respectfully), but I chose not to wear shorts or spagetti strap shirts simply because I don't feel comfortable. Most of the time, it's personal choice and religion has nothing to do with it. That's how I feel about it anyway :)

The Godhra train burning occurred in Godhra, which is a city located in the Indian state of Gujarat in 2002.
The train, the Sabarmati Express, left Godhra Station at 07:47 hours (7:47 AM) on 27 February 2002. It was forcibly stopped and attacked soon after leaving the railway station by a Muslim mob of 500. i was commenting on the video and not on the quran . the range of "colors" is not of great diversity as they are not in islamic countries in general. i have seen this in morocco,algeria, indonesia and during stopovers in the gulf states. i'm not going to discuss religious issues. it's my experience while travelling those countries.there might be places off the mainstream but the whole picture of islamic countries is "uniformed" when it comes to fashion.

I'm too lazy to list verses lol but you should check it out yourself.. christianity deserves much harsher judgement than Islam. There are verses where armies are told by "God" to kill everyone but the virgin girls for yourselves and the punishment of rape is said to be just a fine, and much much worse. these 'fashions'can be worn at home but the point of hijab is not to be sparkly, attractive to men, and tight . it should be loose fitting, demure colour. i really dislike these modern muslims who have no idea about modesty and piety. i am a white muslim revert and i dont dress likthese women do. i wear all black and cover my face . its an order from ALLAH and is CLEARLY written in the quran to cover the entire body except the eyes or one eye to see the way.

The only issue I find with Islamic clothing for women is that they are not made in larger sizes. I wear a 16 womens and when I try to shop online, none of the clothes are made in my size. Please, please begin making modest clothing for the plus sized Muslimah. We want to look nice, too.

i know but i feel sorry for these girls. It's not a bad thing to cover yourself, but they've never experienced the freedom of wearing shorts out when the weather is boiling hot, or wearing a pretty cocktail dress. Any respectable girl sets limits regarding clothing, but to take it this far is unfair. My muslim friends seem like they are always regretting it. They always say no to go shopping because they know they'll never be allowed to wear the same variety of clothing that others do

@MonicaKn17 ...I guess it also depends on the person and how strict their upbringing is. I have several muslim friends who once in a while wear short sleeve shirts and sandals, but not often. One of them also chooses not to wear a veil, but most of the time she wears conservative yet stylish clothing. I can honestly say that she's one of the most confident persons I know because she doesn't have to worry about anyone looking at certain body parts while she works.

@MonicaKn17 ...I was raised in the Catholic religion and they're not strict on how a woman should dress (except in church of course, where you should dress respectfully), but I chose not to wear shorts or spagetti strap shirts simply because I don't feel comfortable. Most of the time, it's personal choice and religion has nothing to do with it. That's how I feel about it anyway :)

May be he was feeling suffocated being associated with US army as US was involved in sufferering & deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq.You can draw the anology with Mangal Pandey who revolted against Britsh in First WAr of Independence.
Although Obama is trying to correct mistakes of Bush & Blair but it's too little too late.
Anyway he should be punished as per law of the land. Can you say similar thing for RSS?

pls dont compare a patriot like mangal pandey with some terrorist. mangal pandey didn kill his colleages!!! n that that soilder by killing his compatriots has showed that for muslims religion comes 1st n nationhood 2nd. i hv seen in my state also since i was young so many so called muslim terrorist organizations bombed n killed innocent people, i was just disgusted, even last yr during diwali celebrations there were blasts i narrowly escaped.

If we want to be in a league of developed nation, then rule of law has to be enforced. We don't need Anti muslim terror organization to deal with muslim terror. RSS is terror organization it has to be dealt in similar manner. Just because it spreads terror against muslims it should not condoned. Law enforcement agencies should be enough to deal with all terror organizations including RSS.

in godhra in gujrat the local muslims were 1st who burned two bogies of train full of hindu people comin from pilgrimage frm ayodhya, burned them 2 death can u imagine? and after that the riots started!!! can neone imagine suppose in some muslim country the minorities did that to the muslim people. god!! that train was even carrying children and from that day my views changed. i dont understand y 4 muslim people religion comes 1st n nationhood 2nd.

There are also immense benefits in being modest, but it doesn't seem like you're interested in that.
And if you really knew anything about Islam, you would know that a man's obligations in the religion are far more difficult than what a woman is required to do.
Where did you get the notion that a man 'tells' a woman what to or what not to wear?
You need education from credible sources, not merely how it 'sounds' to you.

and thanks for suggesting i'd need theological training but live is the best school.after having visited morocco 10 + times and indonesia 6 times,one interesting fact is, that never anybody had the need to convince me of their religion . same is to say about india,nepal myanmar ,thailand etc....it's always the people who are actually not living in the country of their origin .

Maebeach there are many places that you can find Muslimahs dressed in brightly colored, yet tasteful clothing.. and in western styles.
There are Muslimahs that wear Black Abaya, but if you even took the time to look at it you would see that it is decorated with jewels,lace etc. so are done so nicely that they put Western wedding gowns to shame!
And lastchance4you, stop being ignorant ok, the same could be said of non muslims as well, just read a history book or todays newspaper!

i was commenting on the video and not on the quran . the range of "colors" is not of great diversity as they are not in islamic countries in general. i have seen this in morocco,algeria, indonesia and during stopovers in the gulf states. i'm not going to discuss religious issues. it's my experience while travelling those countries.there might be places off the mainstream but the whole picture of islamic countries is "uniformed" when it comes to fashion.

i dont exactly know the translation of vande matram so wouldnt argue bout that much! as far as Muslim first Nation second is considered, everybody loves their home but islam geniounely discourages nationalism based on borders! Its says the whole universe is for u why do u limit urself to nationalism! Muslims praise the God who created all the beautiful things including India! but not india itself! I'm from pakistan and even for me my muslim identity comes before my Pakistani one!
