@813Geane Sounds like a 1J or a 2J to me not all Supras are single turbo

f@813Geane stock 1j and 2j are twin turbo you really wont hear them spool up unless it has a ddp. The only jz motor to come stock single turbo is the vvti 1j. Other than that the 7m was the only supra motor to come stock single

do you own one?.and the 7m-gte is louder cuz it is a single. U can hear any dam car with a turbo spool up even the new cars that are coming off the lot. will it be loud. no not as loud but u can deff hear the turbo. anything that has gte at the end of it will make a sound spool up. but dont take it from me do ur own research. look videos of up stock jz's GTE ofcourse

@813Geane yes i own one, even 7Ms with stock CT26's you wont really hear them in the way of spool that much. Most of the videos you see of big single cars making a lot of noise is when they are dumping the wastegate gases hence why i said the only time you really going to hear the turbo spool is when they are running a DDP or dumping the wastegate. Turbos act as a muffler anyways so they arent going to be louder than a car that is naturally aspirated.

@Cobra281s Most cars with stock setups youll only ever hear the turbo spool maybe with an intake and it will only be a little whistle or slight whoosh of air being sucked in. When you race another car it will be hard to hear the spool unless your dumping the wastegate gases
