  • This is 2.0 stereo

  • Getting shot by a machine gun from 5 different directions must surely be a terrifying experience.

  • it works

  • I'm happy that everythin works fine, but you could have make the youtube bitrate 720p instead of 360 that's more enjoyable!

  • same prob...the rear speakers r mixed up n no woofer sound...others r proper

  • back speakers are mixed togeather, i hear both when each one plays, as for the sub, cant even hear any sound

  • u might not have set up 5.1 in windows playback devices if thats what ur using

  • 0:34 was it supposed to sound like nothing, or does my computer just suck?

  • get a surround sound unit with decoding. works perfect.

  • Absolute muppets, YouTube only supports 2Ch Stereo

  • Strange, this is one of VERY few videos that give me sound from my surround speakers (not playing through the front speakers), but I get no sound from the sub. Oh well, I know it's working. lol

  • It works :D

  • Had my speakers on full volume before I watched this clip. (Mad me fall of my chair)

  • dude there is nothing coming! is stereo! I have a 7:1 system and this is stereo playing here! but nice graphic lol

  • The rear channels on this only work if you have a PRO LOGIC decoder. Through youtube you only get PRO LOGIC surround sound not discrete 5.1. (Hence both rear channels are mono) It's essentially 3.0 (or 4.0 including a centre) the sub channel may or may not be missing also.

  • i can here the rear speakers

  • No Sub, No Rear.

  • me with a home theater with Dolphy II perfectly hear all speakers

  • Wow, 360p is Stereo! You won't get surround sound on anything less than 420p! This video fails!

  • @RyanteGamer

Um 360p is the video resolution, nothing to do with the sound.

Allthough as others have said this will only be in stereo, as youtube doesn't support 5.1 sound in videos.

  • @pantsonhisheadkid Untrue, youtube at 360p doesn't support 5.1, only stereo, but as I have seen/heard, youtube at 420p and up does support 5.1, unless my computer is really smart enough to know what the video wants to happen.

  • mhh...

    I only have 5.0

  • im using DivX Hi-Q and have full surround sound here :) but i dont get any sound off my sub here ~.~

  • @McTom21 You tube only supports 2 ch. stereo. You wont be able to test your surround sound system with it.

  • @PKMR25 You definitely will hear sound from your rear speakers if this is played through a system using Dolby Pro Logic. There will be no separation however, both rear channels will be identical providing a 'centre-rear' sound source.

However, there is no signal at all present during the 'sub-woofer' test.

  • @PKMR25 but how do i get sounds of the rear ? my sound driver aint enabled that "true surround" thing i got the sounds from center and front right/left and i get sound of the rears but there is the sound on both at the same time in this test

  • @McTom21 I've never set up surround on a computer, only for home theater. Sorry. :/

  • i heard everything except the sub

  • Stereo

  • hey wait a minute, when right surround speaker sounded, left surround did it too at the same time

  • @WackyflipJamie963 x.x; Because this video is playing in stereo, not 5.1. Again, 2.0, not 5.1.

  • How stupid can you people possibly be, YouTube does not support anything other than 2ch stereo output. This video may have been uploaded with 5.1 ch , but it will only be converted to 2ch. In other words you will not hear anything from your back surround or your sub / center. If you do then your setup is configured to emulate the 5.1.

  • Wow It sounds very good with my logitech z 506 speakers sounds like im in the video

  • Wow It sounds very good with my logitech z 506 speakers sounds like im in the video

  • CANT YOU GUYS READ? It clearly says "surround sound". If I can hear EVERYTHING fine with my stereo headphones, you should be able to too. If you can't, then your speakers are fucked up (like 61 people's speakers are)

  • Muito bom!!

  • Dolby sux !

  • didnt heard any sub... was it like 15 Hz?

  • whoo i hear everithing and i using razer headphones

  • @Strejcfido sigh

  • even works with pro logic :D

  • so cool!!

  • lol fail you tube doesnt support 5.1

  • @harveyboy83 hahahaha! GET A LIFE YOU RANDOM! FUCKNG TROLL MOTHER FUCKER GO BURN N HELL YOU FUCKING PEICE OF SHIT FUCKING CUNT.

  • @x13xbox get a grip mate

  • @harveyboy83 lol

  • @harveyboy83 ur dumb. Dolby Digital is 5 channels encoded with stereo imagery. Your sound system has to support Dolby Digital and be able to separate the stereo image into its 5 sections and send all low frequencies to the sub. Youtube has nothing to do with it.

  • @GTheFlea no it's not. What you just described is Dolby Pro Logic II

  • @Ixnas yea sorry that's what i meant.. and youtube doesn't support dolby digital, but that doesn't mean it doesn't support 5.1

  • @harveyboy83 it dose...you need digital receivers/amp for it

  • This particular video DOES work, just not on youtube. I found it elsewhere and burned it to a dvd for testing my new ht. All the speakers work as they should with this.

  • Sub channel for the video is broken i think cuz the sub never plays and my surround is set up correctly, sub works on all other youtube surround test vids

  • youtube hast 5.1! you need a video with the sound format "Dolby Digital® 5.1" And the Video must be encoded in BluRay® HD1080p! That works really!!!

  • @megadave12345 Stop trolling tx

  • Youtube has no 5.1 its only emulate Stereo to all Boxes lol

  • I didn't hear the sub.

  • I heard all except the sub, also.

  • i heard everything except the sub, and i just have stereo output on my computer goin to my reciever, but the left was on the left, right was on the right, center was on the center, but the surrounds were on both channels and the surround back channel:(

  • lol i have stereo headphones and i heard the sub and the back, i have the Turtle Beach's X1's

  • Dudes Youtube doesnt support surround sound -.- ... .

    360p = stereo only R/L

  • didn't hear subwoofer

  • did not hear the subwoofer

  • it works ... : ) thanks

  • Sounds awesome, but unfortunately only stereo. I turn the "surround" channel on my speakers OFF and can still hear the rear sounds through the front just fine. The rear surround effect is accomplished simply with with stereo phase shifting/delaying effects.

  • Got skullcrusher and sub didnt work

  • No sub woofer

  • Youtube - No Sourround in 360p...

  • its working if u set it to 240p ;)

  • lol it works

  • Funny how many of these that are here on youtube!

    Youtube is ONLY STEREO.

THat means if you hear stuff from the BL BR or sub or center, then you dont even have your system hooked up right and you are using forced stereo which sounds bad!

  • Its a Stereo Signal not a 5.1 -.-

  • @N16h7m4r3 true

  • worked perfect unsept the sub

  • this sucks

  • subwoofer is broken :S

  • @server1950 yep mine is broken, too xD

  • works on my megalodon excpt the bass

  • The subwoofer doesn't seem to work =S

  • sub didn´t work, everything else fine with Speedlink Medusa NX

  • only the sub doesn´t work

  • Very nice with Turtle Beach HPA2

  • "Works" very good w/ Sennheiser HD555

  • works for me

  • works good on creative sound blaster

  • this works perfectly fine with my Logitech G35. Well it does now after I installed the software for surround sound XD

  • There ARE working 5.1 videos on youtube, this isn't one of them. You just have to deselect the HQ option on them to get them working. Also, don't talk shit without checking sources or looking up information like you know what the fuck you're talking about, youtube is not mono only.

  • try Iceonline92 test really good

  • not workin

  • Stop posting these videos.

  • youtube is mono and u can't listen to the real sound. Just a channel. So it won't work :(

  • no it works, i watched a 5.1 before, but you always have to choose not high quality

  • not works

  • not workin

  • its not 5.1 its not stereo BAAAAAAAAAD

i have a 5.1 and te right video from this yea this is in 5.1

  • Doesn't work 5.1

  • I didnt hear anything in the back

  • me neather

  • @JSEProduction either your back speakers dont work or your computer is not set up to work in 5.1, instead its working in 2.1

  • @JSEProduction

    I did

  • @JSEProduction i did

  • @JSEProduction i did, you must have a bad setup

  • @JSEProduction so u don't have a 5.1 sourround sound system, I hear it!

  • @JSEProduction well i did so i am happy

  • Comment removed

  • Not really.. only that it sounds alot better...

  • @HMV101 trust me it was in stereo, it must b yo speakz :D

  • @HMV101 This is stereo... but it should be surround... .3. Which isn't possible on youtube, which is also why you don't hear anything play from the subwoofer.

  • @PKMR25 My remark about this test being mono was made about five-years ago. At that time You Tube had not got its act together as far as stereo contributions were concerned.

A work-around (involving adding suffix to the existing URL), was required to enjoy the benefit of the relatively few 2-channel uploads that were available.

Thankfully, for some time now hearing clips in stereo or Dolby Pro-Logic Surround is automatic for those using appropriate sound systems.

  • download link?

  • I'm so disappointed...It doesn't work

  • it doesnt work because youtube support only 2 channel stereo

  • nope

  • the ONLY test that works is the hi def ones because they support 5.1

  • it doesn't work on youtube..

  • it doesn't work on youtube

  • isn't work lol

  • good old far cry
