@Sadomazohistic yeah, they play this song in D right now and if you listen to this song on the first strike still deadly record, it's definitely in D tuned, but the original recording of the song was in E if you listen to the song on the legacy record, so i think that's okay to play this song in E, personally I prefer the D tuned version coz it sounds heavier and more brutal :P
