@chopstikzz um, like assisted as in the video? i can't speak for how much the pulley system assists him, but unassisted, you have to be a lot more than "decently" strong to do stuff like the maltese/inverted, or even the iron crosses.
Very good, bro, just one remark - keep the elbows COMPLETELY extended when in a strength move(iron cross, inverted, maltese). Watch some gymnasts photos to get the idea. Good luck!
verrry niiice!! ya i love training in the belt it makes me feel SO STRONG!! then i realize that it takes 50% of the weight of:((( still very good for practicing the movements and correct body shape tho
haha no dude. im a coach and gymnast. the rope that is connected just goes up and over a pulley system and back down to the rings, so if u let go of the rings ur gonna fall on ur face. so it creates 50% of body weight... ;))
You can make it yourself. Just search for a gymnastmatrial-dealer. And ask for rings without cable and make it with a rope. And you must buy a belt but a gymnastmaterial-normally can give you that 2.
Actually you support half your bodyweight. It's not really intended for strength, mostly for getting spatial awareness of the correct positions to hold. Looks really good though...
is that kind of a pully system good for conditioning or does it provide too much support. I struggle with static strength so im just tryin to work out the best way to condition
Hey no offence but I can do all that without a belt!

50% - I would say 100% - aren't those belts gonna hold you when you let the rings go?

that's why you don't let go and try to trust the pulley system

It's called a 50-50 so you only have to do 50% of the power.

you probably use about 60% of your body weight, but it is still one hell of a workout.After a few moves you'll hurt.
fulltwist 4 years ago
if you put some weight on yes:D
musculus123 4 years ago
@fulltwist
It's about 50% of the body weight + it makes moves like maltese to inverted cross verry much easier like 20%
