Literally, I had this surgery done this morning. I got home about 2 hours ago. I am tired and a little sore, but I am going to work tomorrow. It is not nearly as painful as I expected. It sort of feels like someone punched me in the breast... they did give me pain meds, but nothing too heavy, and I expect to be off them in a few days.
@mr lilsilly sori for the late reply..nope i dont felt anything..im just sleepy maybe becoz of the medicine that they inject to me..i just heard the burning thing..hahaha...i i dont know in other country if they have thesame operation..and my friend was with me during the operation..shes just watching me and talking to me..she told me that my body was shaking coz i was nervous that time..haha..but now i already know..nothing to woried and scared..
@MrLilsiLLY I just had a fibroadenoma taken out of me (I'm 17). I was not awake at all during this surgery, or did I feel any pain or burns. I couldnt even remember being knocked out. I didn't feel any pain after. It just hurt whenever I'd lift my arm for to long. They told me to imagine I was on a beach and next thing I know I'm surrounded by my family. Hope this helps!
just had my operation last month here in japan..and its fibroadenoma also..i was shocked when i saw this thing..it was so big...but thanks to my doctor for having a success operation..i havent felt anthing just like i was so sleepy that time..eventhough i dont understand very well coz of there language but still they give me comfort and strenght to pass this operation..now its ok and i dont have regrets that i did this here in japan..thank you so much
@ellakoto My Best friend is having this operation. Do you happen to know if the patient can feel the pain of the cuts and burns during the operation? PLEASE RESPOND I'm worried for her <|3
Well I recently did surgery in my right breast. At first thought that it was normal and would just go away but it only got larger. People told me if I left it for too long it would cause cancer and that really scared the hell outta me
I had a fibroadenoma in my right breast when I was 15, it took me a year to tell someone about it because I was so scared it was cancer. I had thoughts that I just wanted to die peacefully. I finally told someone about it and it turned out to be benign. I really think young girls should be taught more about fibroadenomas rather than all the cancer talks we have! It scares the crap outta you!
I had this operation and it went so well - no pain, just ache and it's made my life so much better.
oh girl dont be scare i got a surgery 4 weeks ago my was big as a chicken egg it does not hurt is a simple surgery i feel much better now i have to see the doctor next moth because they said there10% it could can back but i am been positive and i know is not coming back ....
Does this leave scars at all? I have a rather large lump in my right breast and I'm thinking of getting it removed because lately is has been really sore and painful.
I also have fibroendenom on my right breast. Less than 2 cm, but no doctor ever told me I need it removed, what are the reasons your doctor told you you need to remove it?
@natobad fibroadenoma is a benign tumor but may become cancerous if left inside the breast and at times it grows too under the action of hormones, be it ur natural hormones or oral contraceptives that u might be taking and then u have to moniter it every month do regular self exams on it and mammograms and is a hassle. so it is always better to have it removed.
@maidwithluv you are asleeep, u dont feel it!!! u must get it removed, i had one and got it removed and recently learned that i have another one. its important to remove it
@maidwithluv well my doctor/specialist told me that if u leave it there, it can grow and the surgery becomes more difficult. the avg size for this is about the size of a grape, but bcuz i left my first one for so long it turned into the size of a golf ball. now i hav another one, and i need to monitor it to see if its growing.
do u hav pain?
and dont wry, the surgery doesnt hurt at all. u dont feel a thing, all u feel is a bit of swelling and tight pain afterwards from the stitches.
@AmziiTL It's still the size as it was when i found it, a little bigger than a grape and it gets soft sometimes. No pain, it's just awkward if I have a boyfriend and they feel/see a ball in my boob they'll freak out. My boobs aren't giant so you can actually see it under my skin. The doctor told me the surgery would leave a scar, or make my boob smaller than the other one, and its could leave an indent in my boob if I get it removed so that's why I didn't want surgery.
I just had tht surgery nd i wuz soooo scared nd my momma told me to look at dyss nd i said nt till im done wit my surgery but i think if i saw it befor my surgery i would have been more scared
the first one i had 4 removed from each breast and they were all 6-9 cm.
i have barley any scaring and had no problems. except for the fact mine keep coming back and i can't stop them. any ideas on why they keep coming back?
@cmhyne : I was told eating chocolate & drinking sodas, etc. can help cause them. These products cause zits, etc. so I'd stay away from it. Perhaps cysts are internal zits LOL
@cmhyne hey did you have a dent after the surgery? I have one in each breast about 7cm each, and I'm so scared my breasts will look deformed after. but they weigh me down, and they hurt sometimes any comments on your experience would be very helpful. thanks!
I had a one done around 9 years ago but now i have it back, now i have 4 of them and two of them are very big. i don't want to go through that again plus is very expensive, is there any other way to get rid of it?
somebody in previous comments said something about cryoablation you might want to look into it. the only thing with that is it probably depends on the size and if you want the tumor removed in one shot or for it to disappear after 6 mo to a yr.
the risk of getting it again in the future increases when you have multiple lumps. i think the risk is around 10 or 15%. i had 2 in one breast a yr ago. and now i have 1 in the other. so it depends on how many you initially have
it's amazing that i had this surgery a year ago the only difference is that the surgeon told me that she dug out a lot of the surrounding tissue, i guess to make sure they wouldn't regrow. i had two of them in my left breast and they both hurt, that's why i chose to have them removed. and now i found another one in my right breast and it hurts worse than the first two because my arm hits it constantly. wish me luck. the first surgery went fine, no pain besides the itchiness from healing
@pinkfairyable My heart with you darling ... :D <3 <3 :/ The fear of going into surgery itself ... IS TERRIFYING :/ May god be with you !! :) <3 Hope you get better soon ,....
I had this kind of surgery , same fibroadenoma on my right breast last 2 years ago. I was more terrified before the operation but thank God i survived the tension.
I am scheduled to have this surgery Monday. For me it a must because of the size, pain and the fact that breast cancer runs in my family. I'm so afraid but I 'm glad I have to have it because it's suppose to stop the pain. My right breast hurts so bad that all I can do is cry. The doctor says I have one big tumor and two small ones in my right breast. I just hope everything comes out alright.
@0kaila0 Im 15 and i found a fibroadenoma in my right breast as well. Im so scared i'll have to have it removed because i never had an operation in my life!! :[ Can u please, please, PLEASE tell me if it is mandatory to remove it at age 15 or does depend on the person? I mean, i know your not an expert, but i am so happy to see someone my age who went through the same thing. It would mean soo much to me if you could reply :D
@stumpdonut23 Dont be scared!! lol well it depends if you want to remove it now and so in the future you wont have any problems like it developing in to something worse. But I think it is madatory because it could get bigger and it will start to make your breast look abnormal (and no one wants that.. blahhh..) I hope I helped :) and I promise every thing will go fine if you get the surgery :)
@stumpdonut23 Your welcome!! :) well just talk to your doctor (or an amazing breast surgeon) about it and if its big, do it. And I'm glad i can help lol no problem.
@stumpdonut23 hey i got this surgery about a couple of days ago its not scary at all!!! dont be afraid its super quick and youll be out of there in no time my operation was about an hour . im also fifteen and i was like crying every night until the operation because i have never had surgery. but when i was done i was like why was i crying? it was so easy! and now im like back to normal no pain at all for me!!!
@ani4596dee hey, thanks so much for the advice! did you HAVE to get it removed? or was it because it was big and painful for u? or does it not matter; you'll still need surgery either way?
@stumpdonut23 ya your welcome! well i think it depends on the size mine was i think 1.6 cm or whatever and it grew thirty percent in a span of six months so mine was growing so they took it out surgically. But dont be scared if you have to get it removed surgically , personally the worst part was the iv like when they put it in your hand but that was it lol
@stumpdonut23 Last year when i was 16 when i also found a lump in my right breast which turned out to be fibroadenoma. I chose to had it surgically removed because the thought of it kinda freaked me out and i just didnt want it to grow any larger. the surgery itself was not bad at all. the only time i was in pain was one week after the surgery when i had the bandages removed. the decision to take it out or not is totally up to you. i hope this helped and good luck :)
@lolhairthar1 Thank you so much :D i really dont feel like having it removed (it doesnt bother me, except around my period its a little achy) plus my mom, her sisters, and my grandma all have them and its no biggie. and if i dont HAVE to remove it, y put myself through that crap lol. thanks again for ur advice!
As for the scarring, when you initially have this surgery, they do this very fine line scar which doesn't look bad. But let me warn you, because the scar is on the breast, and breast swell and shrink due to different things: weight loss or gain, menstruation, pregnancy, then most likely your scar will stretch and become much larger over time. Google the procedure...it is a better solution to removing a fibroadenoma. I had a fibroadenoma removed this way on this video years ago and i regret it because of the scars. You'll have to explain to every boyfriend why that scar is there..y go through that if you don't have to. Just my advice.
this could be my case took more than three weeks with a ball in my right breast ultrasound and made me and I do not find anything ... that part where is is hot and way too hard
I had this surgery done yesterday for my 3cm fibroadenoma. For anyone who is thinking of getting it done DON'T BE AFRAID! It's really scary at all. I had mine done in a procedure room at the breast clinic with just local anesthetic. It took 20 minutes and I went back to my normal life right away. I took 2 extra strength tylenol once the freezing came out and then again 4 hours later and I had no pain. Today it just feels like a bruise (although I have no visible bruising).
@jekka86 it look scary! I have fibrodenoma found in my left breast. I'm wanted it remove but my doctor said there is no need to the a surgery as it is benign. Should I go for second opinion? And sometimes i feel like a pinch hurt every now and then is that normal?
@jmasad terribly as that.... I did not look better. as though quickly and simply.... but however unpleasant.... My God as though to me it to outlive.... But, thank you for video! cut like small..... but to me? it became badly %((((( a doctor is a fine fellow, neatly so..... translated a translator. I am sorry my English :)
It is a tumor called a Fibroadenoma. It forms in breast tissue. No one knows why. It usually forms in young people between the ages of 15 and 25 Roughly. My tumor was the side of a golf ball maybe a bit bigger.
"This is horrible. I think it would be better if I had not watched this. It looks quick and easy but horrible just the same. God, how am I going to survive this but thats for the video. The cut is not big oh I think I'm going to be sick. Great job doctor so careful."
I speak and read Russian so I translated it for you.

July of 2009 i had 3 removed from my left breast and i'm 17! Its freaky and kind of conforting at the same time to know what really happened when it was removed
I had this surgery last december 2008. The breast mass was found at the right side of my right breast. The surgery takes fast. But unfortunately it leaves a scar.
I'm about to have this surgery later in the week. Amazingly, this film actually settles my nerves a little. It appears to be a quick, uncomplicated procedure, though general anesthesia is required.
Had this surgery 1 week ago. Outside edge of nipple. Surgeon cut along areola, subcutaneous stitches but then 4 steri strips on outside for closure, gauze & 4x4 tegaderm patch. I chose general anesthesia vs conscious sedation & so glad I did. 1 week post op & incision looks very good. Fine hairline incision, no stitches scars. I owe quick healing to vitamins A, E, C, Zinc for tissue rebuilding & Boiron homeopathic remedy for pre-surgery & post op recovery w/ minimal swelling & bruising.
I also had this surgery yesterday and it was fast. Now im ok and thankful that it was not cancerous...

Dont' worry :)

@jekka86 it look scary! I have fibrodenoma found in my left breast. I'm wanted it remove but my doctor said there is no need to the a surgery as it is benign. Should I go for second opinion? And sometimes i feel like a pinch hurt every now and then is that normal?

question 1: Did that was a tumour?
question 2: Am i looking at what i think it is?
question 3 (related to question 2) What in gods name are the size of those things?

@timen1986
