Yea i live in Ohio also and you do not need a license to hunt on your own property or if u are with some one hunting as long as u do not have a weapon u are not required to gave a license
@WatchingObserving Our cameramen are not required to have hunting licenses while filming with us. If there sole purpose is to film and noting else, the State of Ohio does not require a license.
@dandelion45 - what are you talking about? Does deer bow hunting somehow relate to human serial killers? Why don't you go trace back how your grocery store meat is brought up, raised, slaughtered and fed to you - chickens so young and fed hormones so they grow so big so quick their legs aren't even strong enough to hold up their bodies - documentary called Food, Inc. - watch it, sicko.... Americans have been living off fresh hunted venison since the days of Christopher Columbus.
@ARKSOLDIER7 Thats a great question, I had to go and look it up. It appears that there is no age requirement, however, every youth hunter has to complete a hunter's safety course and until 16 years old they must have an adult with them.
great show. i will be getting a crossbow tomorrow. yiur video is intense and you really explained what it is like to get your first kill with a crossbow. thanks for showing us.
@jarrodsk well your like a lot of hunter you need to take the time to read the regulations it been legal for 10 yrs but this yr you caint bait plublic hunting area . and like yrs past for all of you that going to hunt with your kids on the weekend eary youth deer gun season ONLY YOUR KID CAN HAVE A HUNTING WEAPON NOT YOU TO WITH A BOW OR CROSSBOW
Nice work. Way to encourage hunters in Ohio to take more does. On the farms I hunt it is not unusual to see 15-20 does for every buck you see. Nice video...I like how there was no celebration until you found the deer. I can't stand the pro shows when guys start jumping up and down right after they shoot at a deer. We never celebrate until we put our tag on them. Keep up the good work.
Where exactly in this video does a deer get shown being shot in the head (verde69). Would you guys think about what you are posting before you due so, please!!!
Apparently AylwardJ09 did not read the title of this video before he made his comments. And should definitley watch some of our other videos. We value other hunters opinions on our videos but please do it tastefully. Otherwise film and post your own videos for others to judge. Thanks everyone for your comments.
crossbow compound same difference ur not a skilled archer with all ur sights peepsights, releases and stuff now if you shoot a recurve with no sights then you might be able to bitch and moan. I shoot recurve and crossbows
wow that was very good you can put the bait a lot closer than that i have mine at 10 feet from the blind it works great when they do think about coming their to get somthing to eat
nice way to bait'em, nothing against you personally but come on how hard is it to put down some corn and then wait for the deer to come eat it and then shoot it. i'm totally against baiting and it should be illegal. just my opinion.
anyway legally and humanly to get the meat is fine by me. nothing better than a young doe backstrap on the table any deer but them young ones are tasty(that sounds wrong i know lol)
@TheZeppelin14 we use bait hear the deer dont come to it every day like you might think they would most lee they come at night or they dont come back for a few days
i as well use the rage 2 broadheads. i agree that its the best broadhead ever. my first doe of the season dropped 13 steps from when i found the arrow.looked like a murder scene
Yes it is! 3 of our 5 Hunting Team members use the Rage 2 blade broadheads. I personally, refuse to shoot anything else. Nothing like it. You can hear the doe "crash" in the video about 5 seconds after the shot. We barely had to track her. This has been most of our experiences with the Rage.
Great video.. I will say this.... Once you get that meat in the fridge get that corn off the ground. Otherwise all of your Horns will stay in bed till you go to bed. Why should they get up and move when they know there will be 100 lbs of corn there at all times. I have more luck spreading much less cord about a gallon or 2 in early season. It seems that the deer take like that of a child on christmas eve. They come and if there is little or no corn they come back. Good luck
Thanks for the great comments! We use the corn as a "pulling agent" The land owner gave us permission to harvest as many deer from his property that the great State of Ohio will allow. We get the corn for a little over $4.00 a bag (50lbs) so we use a bunch of it. We put down 50 -100 pounds at a time which attracts several deer from the surrounding properties and holds them there. Because of it, we see deer everytime we go out. And we are having a blast. Stay with us and enjoy the footage.
nice shot

I'm a guy who uses rifles if i go hunting but honestly i'd say a crossbow wud be more deadly. at leest for humans... but i won't go into detail
Crossbow pros:silent, causes massive injury, light, easy to use, durable, light
cons: bad range compared to rifle, mite just nt kill, long restrings(reloads)
Rifles pros: good range up to 600m at leest, good cartridge capacity, higher chances of killing
cons: loud, requires maintenance after use, must be trained to use efficiently, weight

rage broadheads suck, they're only good for one kill maybe two if they don't hit a bone on the first kill.
