Nicanor is not Barbaro.... Not even close, but the unbearable resemblance haunts me every time I see Nicanor. Nicanor and Lentenor have a new trainer now. Let's see what happens next. RIP Barbaro and all the other horses, no matter who they are, who are gone.... :'(

Finally someone else gets it that Nicanor is not Barbaro! I looked up Blines an they show that Lentenor will (more than likely) get more from the parents then Nicanor. If it would have been Lentenor first then Nicanor, Nicanor would have got more from the parents than Lentenor its all about the bred. im not gonna say what i think of Nicanor because i'll get crewed out! I cant help myself :( Not a triple crown winner! Cheap races yes, anything big no. I will gladly eat my words later, if need be!

Nicanor, Lentenor and the 3rd yet un-named full brothers to Barbaro have the breeding and bloodlines to DOMINATE! Although Nicanor developed late and missed the Kentucky Derby he will continue to improve and win. Lentenor will dominate Kentucky Derby 136!!

they did test him on turf and he romped home in his third try to break his maiden at Delaware Park type in the horses name in the search and you can watch him its unreal how he finds another gear and just destroys the field down the stretch

Great video. Gave me the chills. I hope Nic will do as well as Barbaro did. I'm glad they waited until he was a three yr old to start racing him. Gave him some time to grow.

He was 10th in a field of 12th in his debut. But he had hurt himself right from the start, and didn't look comfortable at all. I wonder what would happen if they tried him on the turf... Hm.

if Barbaro could tell his brother how he died, i think Nicanor wouldnt do it.I love these horse's . I have seen the leg of a filly at the finish line hanging on by tissue only with the cannon bone exposed. Gut wrenching as she was loaded in the trailer trying to stand on stump of a leg and as the trailer was being pulled off the track, you could hear the poor filly struggling to stand and balance herself. She had to have no choice but to put weight on the exposed bone! This is barbaric!

Barbaro is the horse that this nation fell in love with. I am sure that his legacy will be told and filmed and written about for a very long time. Don't forget Lenntanor.  He is almost ready to start training. Nicanor is loved by millions of people that are not even racing fans. Can't top that.

Just found out about Nicanor, hope he is half the horse Barbaro was. The last time I cried was when Barbaro was put down. I use to write get well wishes to him everyday

I really hope I can see his first race on TV. If a horse story can find its way into "Anti-Horseland", as I call it. Where I live, horses appear for the Triple Crown, then go away for a year. It SO Stinks, wish I lived in Kentucky or something!!!
