Thats one of the part in this game were I cried. It was so sad but I think for edge it was that moment that made him realize, that he couldnt be a slacker any more and needed to be the king that Elban needed.

Talk about emotional scenes in movies, nothing compares to some of the deaths in this game. I dont think any other game has got to me like this one, and that includes any final fantasy game alike. Porom and Paloms sacrifice were the saddest. I remember Tellah was saddened the most because of how young they were, and how it should have been him instead. It made me really sad.

@Sukino3 uhh your wrong. tellah dies after using metor on golbez in the tower just before you get rosa back and kain joins your party. i know cause i have have that part saved on my game in a different slot. it was so sad :(

Such a sad song. Can't help but choke up at this song. The deaths, the return of Kain, everything. This is easily one of my favorite songs in the game, SNES or DS, don't matter to me, both are great. En Taro Kain Highwind! (lol at the StarCraft reference, which is my 3rd fave game series with Castlevania being my 2nd fave)

This song is so beautiful and sorrowful at the same time. When I first played the game, I couldn't help but cry when the twins turned themselves to stone. Even if it is a video game, it was a heart wrenching moment. The whole game was amazing. It is one of my very favorite Final Fantasy games. :)

I'm only about a few months older than this game and I didn't get to play it until a few years ago. But you know what? I hear about it, I know my stories, I've watched the tale. To those complaining to not spoil THIS game's plot, again, it's almost 20 years old. Don't spoil the plot of FFXIII, but there aren't any spoilers left for this one. If anything was hidden in this game for 20 years that no one knows of yet, Square is a genious in yet another sense.

I really like this version. The other ones give off more of a feeling of despair. But this one captures a fraction of that despair, as well as being so soft and haunting, almost like a dream. Yet, it makes chills run down my spine.

It captures the exact moment a tragedy happens; so full of disbelief, you're trying to convince yourself you're dreaming. It's truly indescribable; the emotion it gives off.

yang palom and porom's help are just optional, they're no big deals. Compare to Edward and Cid's help. What I'm saying if it is better if those 3 just die to make the story better.

The most annoying is the part when Yang survive. How come he be on the Sylph cave if he is on the Tower of Babel??? The Sylph Cave is found on another island so how did Yang make it?

I think this game would have been much better if Palom, Porom, Cid, and Yang actually died and did not come back. One of the difficulties of this game is your characters getting killed off left and right, and even though they come back, they are not going with you. Your party changes so much by the time you get to the end it is hard to be overleveled. Great game though, and since it is made for kids and nintendo was really worried about such a fact.

I can understand why Cid couldn't die, after all he had to keep fixing the airships, but there really wasn't any reason for the twins and Yang to come back, other than to be able to play with them some more...I mean, I could understand if they brought them back AFTER you beat the game, just as a sort of "congrats, now we'll give you all the characters and keep you playing for another so many hours" But their survival was somewhat...pointless. . .

For the most part of all the songs I heard, I defint prefer the snes version however certain ones like this one and the theme of love, and the into to the ds one really shines. Both great sounds in their own right, but you have to hand it to the snes, 17 year old system,16 bit, 8 meg cart, sony dsp sound chip, and even in todays standard it pisses on todays games.
