The max I could put in his bank after getting him was 300, then it was full. It might be related to how many stars you have for the limit to increase.
you dont even need the tech to deposit money in the piggybank, until you go see (another) gogh, its capped to 600G (i think, if not try a lower number), after you did see him (with van in your party of course) its capped at 900
...if you take Van to his room in Home, you can put money into his piggy bank. For every 100 gil that you put in, it adds 3% to the attack power of this skill. The bank holds 900 gil, so the max you can boost it to is 127%. However, the more gil you have in the bank, the higher chance that the piggy bank will break, which may cause up to twice as much damage. When the bank breaks, the money goes to zero.

the max you can fit at first is something like 600G, if you bring van to see the another world version of his father, the max become 900

Does it have a cap the first time you get it?
Because I only tried depositing money once I got this tech and it refuses to let me put any money in.

I see..yeah I do know about the thing breaking and stuff...never got to see it though.
And besides, when depositing money, the max it allows is 2 digits worth I think...forgotten, got to try again.
I only tried putting 1G though lol...

well you can only decide the first digit (x00, like 100,200,300, ect ect....)
