Also how much did you pay for the revolver? I'm thinking of getting one myself, they look so much nicer than the Taurus- I hear they spit on you because of the gap between the cylinder and barrel mouth.
@captainmark1 God, you guys need a serious revolution. Bolt action rifles and shotguns only and long barreled pistols, I could never live underneath laws like that
@009jorge1 stop trying to make us jealous. there are a few things about UK gun laws that are superior to US gun laws. in California, 50 BMG Caliber is illegal, not in UK. also in California, many tactical accessories are banned, none are banned in UK. in many states, concealed carry is illegal anyway. i don't get why every American has to attack British gun laws on every UK gun video, just keep your nose out of our business. if you don't like our gun laws, don't watch our gun videos, simple.
@ryanbinrichard That's hilarious, we have in Concealed Carry and Open In CT and we're mostly democrats, most republicans vote for guns and most democrats vote against them.
By the way, it's not concealed carry that's illegal in most states it's OPEN CARRY.
Who cares about California? California turned into a communist state anyways.
@ryanbinrichard so look at texas machine guns that are pre 86 legal 50 cal and above legal semi auto centre fire the usa has better gun laws period even commifornia you dont need a licence like you do in the uk
How did you get a .357 Super Redhawk? No matter where I looked I only found them being made in .44 mag (1987), .454 Casull (1997) and .48 Ruger (2003)...no mention of there ever being a .357 SRH...
@typetwelve i've never seen them in .357 only the super black hawk have I seen in .357, my dad owns a blackhawk in .357 and my redhawk is in .44... Did you find anything else out about this?
@hardman476 yes better and stronger, they dont bring them to the uk anymore, you will have to look for a second hand one, and they hold the price! but worth it.
Is the mechanism also limitted in the UK? Do you have to cock it each time before pulling the trigger, or does pulling the trigger automatically pull back the hammer and release, like traditional revolvers?
To clarify any questions on this gun ref ownership...
First you need to belong to a registered gun club. You also need to apply for an FAC ( Firearms certificate). If wanting one of these guns you will have to specify long barreled revolver on one of your slots. Don't make the mistake of putting long barreled pistol unless you want the .22 Buckmark.
It's really that simple, The hardest part is the amazingly long wait.
Guys at my club said that if it's your first time applying for your FAC they're wont let you get LBR/LBP's or Sect. 1 shotguns, and you'll have to do a 1 for 1 trade a year after you've had it.
I know that, i mean TECHNICALY they shouldn't prevent you from having it.. But what i took from what they said, was that some RFO(?)'s can be abit iffy about it?
I guess i'll just put one on my ticket when applying and find out hopefuly
Well if you know then you don't need to post these questions then. You have paid for an FAC, You have joined a club, It is your RIGHT to own that gun, Don't be pushed around by some tetchy FLO. What applies in one county will apply to them all at the end of the day. Suffolk cannot say yes while Norfolk says no and that goes for them all.You need to let the FLO know that you know FAC policy.
yeah like i said they're teaching the public how to be afraid of their own shadow and the public unsurprisingly are learning very fast! i think the put-up job of dunblaine changed everything but we wont know the details of that for another 80 years i think. the details are sealed as to protect the corrupt! as usual.
yes thats my dad firing that and your allowed because its over a certain legnth so its on a rile license [fac] rather than a pistol which i belive is illegal now sinse about 1995?
Nope, since about October 1997.However sales in gun shops stopped around late 1996,as they knew they'd be banned the following year. Thanks to Thomas Hamilton.
hey mate, just a quicky....do you need a special licence to buy these in the UK? And if so how do you apply? Do you have to keep it at the range or can u keep it at home?
Sorry if this is a silly question, but is a FAC licence the same as a rifle licence? And are there any requirements for you to be able to buy this piece.....such as ur club having the facilities for such pistols.
so as long as you have a FAC you can buy these? They aren't restricted to people that only have the facilities for them at their club? Because I shoot at a Black powder pistol range and was wondering if i would be able to use this. How much was it btw?
That's probably the biggest perk to a .357 revolver. The punch of the .357 mag when you need it, the price of the .38spec when you want it. By the way I like the way you cock with your left thumb I've never tried that.
the only gun you can have if your not using it at a aproved gun club is a .22 cal rifle...but the land were you are shooting with this gun needs o be approved by the police.

Had it rebarreled? I thought 44 mag and 454 and the discontinued 480 were the only calibers for this gun.
Anyways cool piece.
I want to get the 7.5" version in 44.

what do you mean by traditional
sirhc99999 2 years ago
I am a complete fucking idiot. I couldn't think for a second there...
What I meant was, is it single or double action? Are you even allowed double-action in the UK?
Thanks.
onnet7 2 years ago
I'm assuming you can get double action, I've seen a lot of Taurus revolvers in UK dealerships and most of those are double action.
Sometimes the shooter just prefers single action with high caliber weapons cause it lightens the trigger pull thus increasing accuracy.
I'm not 100% certain though, I'd like to think you could!
