  • Oh the irony of me watching this from my phone. It's like my 80s meter exploded!

  • Did they have sex near the end or something?

  • 95 cents a minute?! The hell?!

  • I remember this movie! Ah geeze I'm old.

  • As bad as this is, it's not as bad as the Disney bop crap kids watch today.

  • Heh, all those teen magazines had the new kids on the cover.

  • @td9001 this wasn't on television. this was just before the movie on the VHS.

  • I would love to meet someone who actually won one of the 20,000 prizes.... They were prolly shite

  • I still can't believe Maurice is Howie Mandel. Deal or No Deal bitches!!! Trip me out he was in/produced Bobby's World.

  • A commercial that encourages kids to dial 1-900 numbers. Too funny.

  • I vomited

  • This is like my childhood threw up all over the television.

  • Dial M for motherfucker.

  • God I miss the 80's and 90's

  • Why is this thing looping in my head now?

  • is marice the Monster Demon guy?!? or the kid I remember seeing this but i forgot who it was

  • Redlettermedia made me watch this again!

  • I'd rather have th epinball machine than a trip to hawaii

  • I dare someone to call that number

  • @rgil1998 It just rings followed by "the number you've dialed is incorrect blah blah blah..." Yes, I dialed it lmao.. I loved this movie as a kid.

  • $500 to spend in Hawaii? Wow...

  • this was...disturbing.

  • Back in 1989 I was only 10 and touching myself to mel gibson

  • No wonder this movie bombed, this is a horrible commercial. This movie deserved much better than this crappy commerical.

  • THIS IS AMAZING. I remember it from the tapes! I want fred savages autograph! xD

  • ..........WHO THE FUCK IS MAURICE!!!!!!????

  • ppl in the 80s did alot of acid

  • 900 number?

  • It sucks that Fred Savage had to be in a horrible movie

  • I liked it for the nostalgia. But WOW this was terrible. Good thing it wasn't an actual promo for the movie.

This was a great movie. At first glance it's a goof ball one. But people might forget the seriousness of it too. I related to it since my parents were divorced as well.

  • Wow i remember dressing like that back in the 80s talk about flashback and im almost 30 years old.

  • @jh15116 I still dress like it on the weekends when I'm not at work. :) just have to search Ebay. However Neon Crazy designs are slowly starting to come back into fashion. Pastel and Bright colored Izod shirts were already back a couple years ago. Volcom sells a lot of neon shirts. But they still haven't quite gotten back to the crazy random geometric shapes.

  • JESUS CHRIST, WHY IS THIS SO LONG???

A two minute ad? Those aren't cheap, unless they were running this at 3:00 in the morning. They must have had a lot of faith in kids' desire for signed Fred Savage pictures.

  • @TD9001 You're not considering the year this was made. Ads were not as expensive back then. Especially if they were airing it on a UHF channel. Not sure about your age, but in the 80s we had the regular channels, cable channels, and then the UHF channels. I miss those channels very badly for the alternate programs we got. I wish Dish Network set ups would provide funding to local places so we could get that local flavor back. ION TV almost has that local UHF feel , but still not quite.

  • If Gaga knew about this, she'd stop calling her fans little monsters.

  • 0:07 pedophile monster

  • I like to mute this and play a dirty song while it plays :)

  • Man, this film must've been VERY poplular at the time of it's release.

  • Oh God, it's a 900 number...

  • Can't believe nostalgia critic missed this shit...

  • i wonder how many kids actually won anything

  • i wonder how many loser faggot hipsters spend thousands of dollars of rich mummy and daddum's money to dress like those kids in this wearing common clothes nobody thought twice about back then

  • HELL YEAH!!!

  • The phone number sounds like some sort of gay porn service

  • This makes the pumpkin rapper look like 2pac Shakur.

  • 0:07 kinda innapropiate...

  • this movie always grossed me out

  • that exact fred savage autograph you can find in the 99 cent stores

  • K Swiss is that old??

  • omg lolOLOLOLOLOL

  • ch ch ch ch check it out go ahead check it out go ahead g go go check it out hahahahha wtf, thats really creepy

  • is that kevin arnold?

  • @TyphoidExcel Yeah it is. But his reall name is Fred Savage.

  • the kid with the glasses on is actually the kid from terminator 2

  • That is a great transfer for a 20 year old vhs. Kudos.

  • i love the 80's

  • those backgrounds remind me of the opening Saved by the Bell credits. i saw a 2010 DVD for LM the other day with new artwork. doesn't look to have any special features though.

that would be cool if someone who won something posts - Hawaii!!!

  • 5 people tried calling and found out the phone# and hot-line no longer exists.

  • I so remember this from the Little Monsters VHS. I also remember being told that I was dead if I actually dialed the number.

  • that dude sounds like Chucky Cheese on CRACK!

  • this has to be my all time favorite movie ever! i know all the words! lol

  • This song randomly pops into my head sometimes. This having been in my childhood explains so much about why I am the way I am.

  • Comment removed

  • this is fucking sexy.

  • L O L !

  • Im having a seizure

  • I watched the movie, It wasen;t bad, but the ending was disturbing a little lol

  • I can't wait to show my brother this video. I'm 32 and he's 29.We watched this on the vcr in his bedroom back in 1989.We goofed on the song but it was stuck in both our heads for about a week afterwards.YOUTUBE is a repository of useless childhood memories.

  • Wasn't Howie Mandel in this movie?

  • 1 900 89 maurice wtf?

  • "CH-CH-CH-CH-CH Get Out"

  • LLOLL i wonder if anybody won the trip to hawaii. anybody know? find me that person. hahaha.

  • is that number a hotline?

  • Loved this movie...might have to watch it again! Great upload...

  • gotta love how they repeatedly encourage the kids to call the number, but only once whisper the (ohyeahcheckwithmomanddad) bit. If I'd ever called that, my parents would've choked me to death with the phone cord.

  • I remember watching this movie over and over again cause I loved Fred Savage and his ability to show real emotions in the Characters he played. From Keven Arnold, in the Wonder years, to Cory Woods in The Wizard. His talent seems to have no boundaries. Thanks for sharing this great bit of memory. This one I do remember on Nickelodeon (when nick was about good shows. You can't do that on Television, Mr Wizards world, Finders keepers. ECT) Thanks again .

  • that was really disturbing :c

  • I wished I still lived in the 80's and 90's...best decades that humankind has ever experienced.

  • This is typical 80's. Typical. I LOVE IT! Reminds me of Max Headroom with all its flashy Pink and Green

  • God I love the Beastie Boys.

  • i love that movie but long commercial

  • I want that eff-ing pinball machine!!!

  • @KetamineFix I actually have a friend who has the same pinball machine. It was also the same kind as in that show Boy Meets World.

  • Sounds like early Beastie Boys. And late Beastie Boys.

  • O_O

  • That was scarier than the actual movie! 0.o

  • Wow, no wonder why Fred Savage is such a Mega Star nowdays! :/

  • 95 cents a fuckin' minute? The fuck???

  • " I love the sound of breaking glass". Just about the only scene I liked.,er the music anyway.

  • ra ra ra RAD!

  • Oh my lord, this is great stuff! This must have been dug up from the catacombs. Little MOnsters is a horrible movie, but when I was a kid, I thought it was cool LOL.

  • wow the monster pantsed him.

  • I wonder who won.

  • Wow, that commercial was so bad I swear it was as long as Barry Lyndon.

  • 1:38

  • If I understand correctly, the Fred Savage autograph picture was regarded as an inferior prize to the crappy hand-held pinball machine.

  • I remember this movie. From what I remember it horrible. Boring and stupid for teens and adults but disturbing for kids.

  • @MrPennysPop Oh, I loved the movie. But this commercial is awful.

  • Hmm, whatever (I don't mean that in a bad way, you're entitled to your opinion.). Yeah, the commercial is awful!

  • @MrPennysPop no it is not im a teen and i still like it and when i was a kid i realy liked it!!! and i realy like this commercial!!

  • @wmautoreach123 It's OK that you like it. But I still don't.

  • That is a true RickRoll.

  • WOW! How did you find this? 20 years ago...damn, my generation and all the neon colors!

  • @lizardtown I own it on VHS and this was at the beginning.

  • @JohnnySwitchblade What's a VHS? I'm just kidding. HAHA! My generation was when VHS's was starting to become extinct. But the next generation, won't know what a VCR is. Isn't that funny? HAHA!

  • hahahaha i love it!! i love this movie and i remember this commercial very well!

  • Fred Savage!!!!

  • I wonder who won the trip to Hawaii?

  • or crap its fred savag in a lame ass commercial :O

  • Black Knight was a kick ass pinball game.

  • wow, I think I'm going to go shoot myself now

  • how did he even find this piece of golden crap

  • thats the shit right there

  • Kevin Arnold!

  • I remember other kinds of numbers that you needed to ask your parents first, and if you didn't, you got in trouble. Because they were those "bad" numbers!

  • SO painful, ahhahaha

  • Anyone else tempted to dial that number now just to see what happens?

  • Yes. Yes I am.

  • im just aobut ready to lol

  • "Hangin' with the plumbers, you'll be hooked on the brothers!" I couldn't help thinking that. Also, it sounds like Meowth rapping.

And yes, I know that Madeleine Blaustein and Lou Albano are dead, so no disrespect.

  • gosh its so long. brainwashing...

  • lol it's like a commercial for kids with A.D.D.

  • Which is probably why I like it so much!

  • since when is a 1-900 number not a sec hotline?

  • What in the world happend to society during the 80's. uggh, if i could put my nightmare on VHS, this would be the result.

  • Dude, what happened to society in the last 10 years? The 80s is gold compared to how it is now. Kids are fucking retarded nowadays...

  • hey you know what they say, "it's the 80's do alot of coke and vote for ronald reagan" or atleast i do! ROFLMAO!!!

  • Yeah man, I don't know why people hate the 80's, last decade before the inevitable nosedive after Nancy Reagan's save the children BS, which will be the death of us all.

  • Hey, not all of them.

    I'm 16 and I love everything about the 80's.

    This is so funny, lmao.

  • Believe me, you dont love the 80's when you actually grew up during it and thought some of this stuff was cool LOL

  • @Ryanyarb24 Rofl. I guess you have a point. Just look back at the 90s. It's equally as horrible. xD

  • @JokersGoil to me, the 90s were cool growing up, with the various toys, commercials, memories and such...and now that I'm older, I can look back on it in a different, more analytical way and appreciate it in a whole new way. 90's looks like the 80's except less cheesy..not that I was around in the 80's still, both decades look awesome to me!

  • @InfiniteRandom: Yeah, don't get me wrong. I loved growing up in the 90's, and I wouldn't change that. :) The cheesiness to me isn't a bad thing, it just adds to the awesome factor.

  • @JohnnySwitchblade

Lol, I've seen that movie man, it's fucking terrible!!!

  • @JohnnySwitchblade oh really, because my kid can reinstall windows 7..and code html, he is 10..wtf could you do when you were 10??

  • @MrJrdify

    We're not all japanese. lol

  • @JohnnySwitchblade I'm not, I like the 80's much more than the 21st century.

  • @JohnnySwitchblade Deffinatly kids like the lamest crap and they hate the good stuff of our past

  • @educatedlime

trust me, you will be saying the same thing in 20 years looking back on this generation. We'll all be wondering why we all didn't wear our shiny silver jumpsuits back then

  • how beautifully long and brainwashing comercials were back then

  • This is so RAD!!!

  • Don't forget to ask your parents first!

  • They said "No" for a good & justifiable reason.

  • Can this get any longer???....geez!

  • I dailed the number and I didn't get the shirt or the little pinball game. Fuckers.

  • SO FUNNY

  • Fuck me the 80's

  • i want one of those shirts

  • dial 1-900-89-maurice

shi% now i got that stuck in my head!

  • I didn't find the "Yeah!" button that it says to push after 900...

  • I actually tried calling this number a few years after the movie was out. didn't work :\

  • "Teen machine" sounds like some gay porn mag lol

  • Definately aimed at Middle America.

Why did white people think Scratching consisted of moving the STYLUS up and down the record??

  • "sweepstake ends June 15, 1990"!!

Isn't that Fred Savage from the 'Wonder Years'?

  • Yep. It says "win a Fred Savage photo with his Autograph"

  • So you actually physically win he himself, AND his autograph? What does one do with their very own Fred Savage???

  • rofl i love it xd

  • o my freakin' god. this was soo bad.

super obnoxious, and it just kept going and going. this wins the prize for worst commercial! great find.

  • epic...

  • "dial 1! (Unh huh!) 89! (whoa yeah!) 900-maurice! (unh huh uh huh oh yeah!)"

  • @Koolked96 F.Y.I It's " Dial 1-900-89-Maurice. Not 89-900

  • So one day these guys decided to ruin the little monsters movie (as if it wasn't ruined enough) and make me hate rap (as if i didn't hate it enough). No offense to rappers and rap lovers, rap just drives me crazy.

  • K mother%*!^*n' Swiss!

  • jesus, is this long enough?

  • lol its like 29 years later still nobody has called.

  • 18 years

  • i watched it recently on comcast on demand. i still enjoy it

  • maurice is waiting on the line to molest the fuck out of those childern.

  • maurice? wtf

  • I did see that movie way back I remember enjoying it but it probably won't stand up a watching now

  • That's Fred Savage from the show "The Wonder Years"! Who did that to him?? This is another example of "entertainment-related child abuse"! This sucks major ass!

  • 1-900-89-Maurice?

  • seriously tho it woulda been sweet to have won the pinball machine

  • I think I remember this...Howie Mandel was Maurice~

  • yeah I think you are right. It was before that jew was de-clawed and de-horned and had his own TV show.

  • Wasn't Sarah Palin, the voice of his mom on that show?

  • How the fuck did we put up with this decade?
