hmm, I have sony vegas movie studio 9 and protype titler was not included with it, is there a way I can get protype titler into movie studio 9?

your own preset? Just setup the text how you want, then click the "save to collection" disk icon to the left of the X & cross out O.

are you right clicking or left clicking? Because they're XML you need to right click & save as.

hey what program do you use to type the script also were do you find the write up for how the script will act with vegas, this is called a xml script?? I thought xml is used for web pages, I think that why the protitler runs so slow, but whats your take on this?

COOL but their was no folder in titler 1.0 so I created 3 folders 1 "Collections in XP" 2 "Collections" & "Collection" then copyed the xml file in all 3 now the typing text shows up in custom in collections.. I dont know witch folder did the trick. but WOW that must of taken a long time on your part....

I do have the problem that when I change the standard text ('need more data...'), the whole effect is gone and the text appears at once. What am I doing wrong?

not sure what you mean, but when you use a collection you drop/drag the collection to Protype's timeline. Then you double click on the text in the preview window & change it. I just tested & that worked for me.

My problem was that the effect is only applied after pressing escape when you changed the text. So if you edit the text but dont escape and then play the vid, you won't see the effect (just the text appearing at once).

This works great, however I also had the problem that it didnt show up...

This is how is DOES work:

- Open the 'Media Generators' tab

- Click on 'ProType Titler', this shows the presets (however not the downloaded ones)

- Insert 'Empty', the Video Media Generator screen pops up

- In the right bottom of the black preview screen you've got 'Collections' (between 'Curves' and 'Effects')

- Click on it, then click on 'Custom'

- You'll see the preset, then drag it to the timeline

- Tadaa :)

Nice titling protypes.

I tried downloading them to use in my Vegas 8b.

Put them xml into a folder call Collections (i'm on xp) as per your instructions. Didn't work. I then saved a prototype of my own creation and it was put into c:\program files\sony\vegas pro 8.0\presets\{weird number}\my test.dxp

Is this something introduced in 8.0b?

Can your nice protypes still be used somehow?

if you adjust the keyframes you can set it up as fast or slow as you want.

Vegas 8 Pro is the only version with ProType Titler. The same thing could be done in previous versions if you use masking, but it would be a lot more work.

Sony Vegas wont notice that I have Presets. I put them in the file but there'S still nothing in the custom colection when I open ProType in Vegas.

double check & make sure they're in the correct "collection"/"collections" folder. The update for Vegas 8 changed the folder name.

Still wont work, and I know its in the right folder since I made a preset too and the ones you made are in the same folder as my preset but Vegas only notice the one I made and not yours :( weird

same, it shows the .xml extension. Its really weird, maybe you should film yourself adding the presets just to verify.

I am having the hardest time creating the transporter on my own!!! Not to mention even using the titler!!! How do you do this!! AWESOME JOB.

that's one if the simplest! feel free to look at the .veg file for download.

The teleporter was ~4/5 glows, all building up quickly & then going away + the text's tracking going from huge to small. Perhaps a fade in the start too.
