we got about 20 International trucks and perdue feed mill and them things are junk. They stay broke down !!!! The boss of the shop told me that he bet me that i couldn't trade a fleet of International for one freightliner .. They are junk, they way things are now with fuel tires and every thing else a man would go in the hole for sure if he bought an International ... The feed mill is loosing so much money cauce of these trucks they are putting me and all the other drivers on 4 days a week

@stefanrhs Why wouldn't it have a cummins in it? Class 8 trucks aren't like passenger cars where you have no choice in Motor, transmission, etc. if you buy a class 8 truck new, you specify your choice of motor, (Cummins,detroit diesel,Cat, Maxxforce, etc) transmission, transaxle, etc.

In my opinion, I don't quite like it as of now. I like the old type styling, but it reminds me of like a train, or something. I don't like the excessive chrome, I haven't like trucks all chromed out, because these trucks are made for work, not show. I know some people like to chrome them, out, but I prefer them plain. I am pretty content with the manufacturers overall designs, I like the 9900 Eagle models from International.

this is the new cadillac of the hwy. i would get one but i don't like the way internationals shift, it could be driver error because im so used to drive volvos for 5 years but its like the rpms got to be higher and it still won't go into gear.

@hellvelle24 All big trucks have a certain 'personallity' when it comes to shifting. And, they shift differently when cold as opposed to warmed up, and when new compared to broken in.

I have driven all of them and personally find the Volvos the hardest and clumsiest to shift.

@hellvelle24 I used to drive a volvo, now I'm in a International 9400i. the 9400i is easier shifting, uses less fuel, & is mechanically more reliable then the yuppie truck.
