  • it helps that the model is a stunner!!!!!! :D love the look :)

  • keep it up , you do great make up

  • Oh, good. This is ground-breaking work.

  • i figuired out a way to keep the glossy eye from creasing..... make up forever sells a product called eye seal (20 bucks at sephora or sephora.com) and it makes your eye makeup water proof so if you apply this over the eye shadow and under the gloss it will not crease till you take it off!!!!! i wore it out on valentines and loved it... also works on ur leopard print eye look n i did the leopard print on my lips instead of the eye and it sealed that as well....check it out

  • @giannadoll Eye Seal is a fantastic product, one of my faves, but I will say that often times it will affect the color and texture of the shadow. Also, oils from the glosses will eventually still eat through and the gloss will migrate inevitably, but yes - eye seal will always extend the look further! Glad you made this work for you! Thanks for watching!

  • wait doesnt the glossy finish stick the eyelid together though and create creases?

  • @FRUiTYSUMM3R As mentioned in the video, this is not a look that lasts - it's better suited for editorial and runway. By using the layering technique in the tutorial, we got all of our footage and the following photoshoot completed without any creasing. The rose salve is less sticky than gloss, which is why her lids aren't stuck open. Thanks for watching!

  • Tarlouze!

  • WOW! fantastic needed to learn this...thanks for this tut..

  • Tried it with lighter greenish color with absolute stunning look x:D

  • @cfontana1979 I bet! The lighter, brighter shadows look stunning with gloss on them!

  • Jordan, you do give good face! Incredible cosmetic techniques that are easy yet fabuloso! Gorgeous model. :)

  • Can you make a video for a 13 year old girl with bright blueish, greenish, silver eyes...mostly blue (guess that kinda descriptive) that my mother would let me wear to school i have blonde hair not to light but not to dark... i use "sun in" my mom and i both like the smoky eye look but i HATE fake eyelshes with a passion, i know its kinda alot to ask but could you mabie do one, thanks and i Love your videos and i am subscribed! :)

  • @legloaslover We're kind of a high fashion channel, I'm not sure if you noticed but we don't do a lot of simple looks! Also, I'm not sure what your mom would let you wear to school, you should probably ask her what she thinks is alright. For some moms, a smoky eye is fine, for others, they don't allow makeup at all. My idea of a gorgeous day look is our "Daytime Glamour" tutorial, which would be stunning with your eye color. Give it a go and let us know how it works out!

  • wow

  • WOW @ the vaseline and shimmering pink lipgloss method!!! awesome

  • This looks amazing! Does it withstand a night out with creasing all over the place?

  • You're handsome man, and so talented, I love you and your videos! ♥

  • Okay i absolutely love this. However, i have dark brown eyes and hair.. and i dont know if i should be doing eyeshadow under my lower lashes. i know that works perfectly with colored eyes, but does it have the same affect with darker eye colors?? HELP!!

  • @persianpride110 Absolutely! The eye color does not affect application, however, if you have SMALL eyes you may want to avoid putting shadow on the lower lash line. This look is still gorgeous without any liner or shadow underneath the eye - thanks for watching!

  • lovely.

  • i love your lips and your teeth . it's delicious

  • ummm is a pretty eye i loved this :)

  • You make it look so easy! Great work!

  • Awesome Videos! If only there was more :) Ive watched every one up to now lol

  • Can you make a video for a 15 year old girl with bright blueish, greenish, silver eyes...mostly blue (guess that kinda descriptive) that my mother would let me wear to school i have blonde hair not to light but not to dark... i use "sun in" my mom and i both like the smoky eye look but i HATE fake eyelshes with a passion, i know its kinda alot to ask but could you mabie do one, thanks and i Love your videos and i am subscribed! :)

  • @spiderpie101 We get a lot of requests that involve specific age groups and very specific features - but you're over-thinking it. Makeup technique can be extremely universal! For instance, you AND mom could do our "Sapphire Smoky Eye" using a bronze shadow instead of the blue, skip the false lashes, and it would be your own look! The bronze would enhance the blue in your eyes, and the lashes are optional. Alter the colors, yes, but the technique is the same - thanks for watching!

  • @givegoodface I hear that HAIR can have an affect on eye shadow? Like, example- my brunette friend, Alexia (spelled name wrong to censor c: ), she usually wears eye shadows like beautiful blues, sassy greens, perfect purples, bracing bronzes, and strangely enough-pretty pinks! It goes really well with her eyes (hazel) and her curly brown hair went great with it. Do you feel/think hair and eye-shadow should/can/have to have an affect on each other? Thanks!

  • Omg, you are so good, love all your video's, learning so much:) Keep going!<3

  • does the Vaseline creases the eye makeup?

  • @MsMojo61 As stated in both glossy eye videos, this isn't a look that is meant to last -it is best for professional work. However, by layering like we did in the video, it can last for an hour or two easily with minimal creasing. Thanks for watching!

  • He's A Guy And He Does Makeup Better Than ALOT Of Girls I Know(: I LOVE THE LOOKS HE COMES UP WITH!<3

  • LOVE IT! I have been looking for instructions on how to get this kind of look everywhere! thank goodness I found you guys! I will most definitely be trying this and subscribing! Please make some more videos they are fabulous and sooo easy to follow :D *thumbs up* great job!!

  • @Lilchicmama You're the reason we do what we do;) Thanks for stopping by, I'm glad we could deliver what you were looking for! MUCH more to come:)

  • gorgeous!

  • your videos are amazing!! thank you for sharing with us! Your model is absolutely STUNNING!!!!

  • LOVE IT.

  • This is great!! I love it!

  • is it gloss for the lip that they use or gloss meant for eyes

  • @FandubSongs1 The instructions say lip gloss and the panel under the video lists out the actual products used:)

  • @givegoodface oh i didn't actually read it why wouldn't it be sticky than since lip gloss are sticky well actually it depends which one they use though

  • Great video. But the end kinda got annoying- I wanted to see her beautiful makeup not the back of her neck. UG.

  • @redsugar18whitney You know we show the look up close at the beginning, right? Thanks for watching;)

  • i absolutely love your videos!! after highschool, i want to go to Douglas to learn all there is to know about makeup! My dream is to see my name in the credits of a big movie as one of there top makeup artists! <3 <3 <3

  • can i marrry you? :D xxx

  • UGGHHHH I wish I was beautiful

  • everytime i watch these videos it stuffs up :(

  • @TheK3ani Huh?

  • you dont have problems creasing ?

  • @SinCityMUA As stated in the video, this isn't a look that lasts. That said, with the primer and waterproof cream base, this is one of the most long-lasting versions of the glossy eye. Thanks for watching!

  • I like how you do the Leopard Eyes totally awesome, where do you buy the liquid eyeliner? Do you use the liquid eyeliner to do the Leopard design? Where do you buy the shiner for the lips?

  • Hello, I love your videos but possible to have the sentences in French because I speak very little English? thank you

  • @Manueex3 Unfortunately I can't have every video in every language, as much as I'd like to! Thanks for watching!

  • <~~Make up junkie! :)

  • I did this look for school along with many other looks you've done and everyone loves them

  • very clever i love it <3<3

  • I bet this would look amazing with gold shadow instead of green! The green looks great too 8)

  • I LOVE the music you use in these editorials! :D

  • Oh my God...You are great makeup artist! The model is the sexiest and prittiest woman in the world:)

  • OMG i love your videos!!!! guess whos goin to Sephora tomorrow???? mwa!

  • @pinkrose1181 That store is so dangerous! I'm there way more often than I care to admit;)

  • wish i have a more feminine-looking face, cos whenever i do strong eye makeups such as this, i'd end up looking like a freakin drag queen. ugh :(

  • you are too good :)

  • this is awesome! <3 love it! is it just vaseline or...?

  • @hahaingemily It says in the video what was used to make it...in the box on the screen. If you're having trouble seeing the video on a smaller device, all products are listed under the videos as well;) Check it out! Thanks for watching!

  • AMAZING!!!! but how do u keep the look from creasing for several hours, like on a night out?

  • @csnsheila You don't haha. There's no way to stop this look from falling apart after an hour or two. Like so many beautiful things, this wasn't meant to last! Thanks for watching!

  • wut's a bullet brush?

  • @csnsheila The brush shaped like a bullet:) Smashbox calls it a "definer" brush as well. Thanks for watching!

  • I've got that liquid eyeshadow type stuff > < It's horrible, all sticky and your hair sticks to it. XD Still, like givegoodface said, pain is beauty! Lol.

  • @WolfsRainFan4ever Hahah yeah...the "eye gloss" formulas out there are just awful.

  • Do you ever use darker toned models???!

  • @xohoodglam Yes, we do. Please check out our other videos;) We are proud to be a diverse channel, and will continue to be!

  • well... you def just got my subscription!

  • I just wanted to tell you i subscribed after watching 1 video of yours(the cheetah print eyes) because you are SUPER talented!! :) thank you for your videos!

  • MERAVIGLIA !!

  • i wish i could put this on myself, but its so hard, anyways, i like every vid you've posted so far :)

  • great great great

  • I so wish this could be an all day look.

  • You are super attractive. Your complexion is great. You do makeup well.

  • Absolutely gorgeous! I'm sure I will have to practice tons to get this good, but I'm going to definately try with your great tips! Thanks!

  • This is the second vid of you I get to know, I think it´s time for me to hit the sub-button :)

  • God, I love your work and that model has the most perfecy bone structure and eyebrows to work with. I would of loved to of trained under you when I win the lotto one of these days I'm paying you for classes. By- the-way do you think a shilac or those setting glossy would hold up against being mixed with a vaseline or would the molecules reject the oil in the vaseline??? I'm thinking of purchasing I belive MAC's shilac or benefits?????

  • @jmediddy Benefit has discontinued She-Lac I believe, honestly I was never impressed with those types of products...and I guess it didn't sell too well. Any product that will assist with longevity will ruin or diminish the glossy shine, make the lids look "crunchy," or cloud up the shadow underneath. The goal with this video was to show how to properly build shadow underneath over a cream base and a primer to maximize results without sacrificing texture or shine. Thanks for watching!

  • Don't know if my last comment posted or not it may of been too long, sorry for not proofreading the last one ;) Thanks for the prompt response back. Lots of love and glam sent your way from Ohio!!!!

  • @jmediddy I don't think it posted, sorry:( I'm from Ohio - originally - so I'm sending love right back!

  • @givegoodface oh my God how exciting so it can happen ( success after Ohio) lol where from I'm originally from Collinwood- then to Kirtland small town by Mentor!!! I went to Brown Aveda in Mentor for my esthetics!!! I will continue to hopefully learn from you I have a slighly heavy lid and I want to do a smokey eye so bad but fail everytime at looking smuldering and sexy, instead I look dopey and weird.

  • @jmediddy I mean seriously, doesn't she just have the most beautiful face?!

  • I have tried this and it started to crease in about an hour. i don't think i can wear this when i go out. it looks horrible when it creases! any idea how I can avoid this but still have the awesome look?

  • @qt247ha Did you watch the intro? Unfortunately there is no "long-lasting" version of this look, it works great for fashion shoots and runway. If you do a nude look, you'll get the shine without the creasing - but it's a trade-off. Thanks for watching!

  • what makeup brushes did you use? btw wish i could do my makeup like that!

  • @puppystar01 As mentioned in the video, all products used are listed under the video - all red handled brushes are Smashbox. Thanks for watching!

  • You're a genius! :) I have a question, which one is the bassic set of brushes, in your opinion and where I can get it? Hope You can understand cause I do not speak English very well, I'm a Mexican girl. Thank you!

  • @heldai15 We used Smashbox brushes in the video, not sure if that is what you were asking - Thanks for watching!

  • @givegoodface that's exactly what I was asking for. thanks for your answer! :)

  • You are so g0od..i subscribe already ^_^

  • Isn't that very sticky? I tried it once.. and it was kind of hard to take it off..

  • @Souha12 It's definitely not dry, that's for sure. The vaseline or salve make it less sticky to the touch, and the gloss I used is also not as sticky as some glosses. Fashion looks aren't always the most comfortable to wear, but sometimes art isn't convenient:) Thanks for watching!

  • Wow! Is really all I can say, I mean this is very well, aswell as the leapord eye tuturiol, I really enjoyed these videos. You are a very very great makeup artist aslong with your creativity thankyou so much you have really inspired me! (:

  • omg thank you for showing me the pen in your leapord-eyes video i use the pen a lot and i wear the leapord-eyes to school all the time thank you so much :)

  • By the way, about the leapord-eyes video, thank you for introducing me to the liquid liner pen!! I usually work with India-ink pens for art, and when I bought the liquid liner,I fell in love! Since it's so much like my pens I have already got used to it, and can do all sorts of things with it.The other day I made a henna-like design along the lash line, and it looked beautiful. Ever since I saw the video, you inspired me to do all sorts of things!Thank you!!!

  • @CookiesRlyAreAliens That thing really is amazing, right? My God, it has saved my sanity on numerous occasions!

  • you, sir, are awsome. dont ever forget that.

  • How did you learn how to make this look?

  • @ohmijellybean I had seen a photo of a similar eye and played around until it looked awesome - you should see the image that made this look my "signature," it was a deep ocean blue glossy eye with white shimmer. I think more people know about that photo than any of my other work! Thanks for watching!

  • i wish my dad or mom was a makeup artist tht would make less work for me

  • Please tell me it won't fall down the eyes after 15 min

  • @blablusia If applied correctly, you can get a good hour out of the look - we filmed for an hour after the look was completed with no problems! Using inferior products may result in faster creasing - but you usually have a while before that happens. This is a perfect photo shoot look - looks awesome but doesn't last forever. Thanks for watching!

  • Good lord this man is a genius! How splendiferous!!!!!

  • This model seriously has the best skin, ever. Solucky. The look is gorgeous too <3

  • Wouldn't that make the shadow crease like hell?

  • @servingthealiens As stated in the video, this is not a look that lasts! However, using the primer and cream liner base makes the look last much longer than shadow alone. Thanks for watching!

  • You're so good! What got you into makeup? :))

  • how long will it last? how long untill it smudges or creases or totally ruins?

  • @BrianneAlexandra It smudges right away. I just tried it after wasting quite a bit of money on all these products. I've tried it 8 times, and I haven't had a time when it doesn't crease and end up looking stupid.

  • @CookiesRlyAreAliens You used both a primer and cream liner base under the shadow? If you used the same exact products, the result should not have been immediate creasing - as evidenced in the video where the model wore it for an hour of filming after the look was completed. The look will always crease up after a while, as stated in the video this is not a look that lasts, but it should not crease immediately if the appropriate application and products were used.

  • @givegoodface Actually, I used a different primer, because when I tried a patch test for it, it had turned out I'm allergic to it. However, I tried one last time and got 3 hours out of it without it smearing badly!! But the downside is, my eyes started to burn a little bit. The look is hard to perfect, and takes well more than one try, but I don't quite think it's worth the side affect. Is there a product I can use to avoid this and be able to wear the look?

  • @CookiesRlyAreAliens You'd have to find out what product is making your eyes irritated to determine what alternative product could be used in its place. I'm glad to hear that it worked this time! Don't feel too bad - this look was not originally meant for normal wear. Our entire channel focuses on editorial and runway makeup - certainly not the "norm" and often times not the most comfortable or long-wearing looks. So glad you finally made it work - how awesome did it look?!

  • @givegoodface I'd have to say it might've been the lipgloss.I loved the way it looked, since I used a very nice shade of purple instead.I wish I took a pic of it,because I felt so excited that I'd mastered it after so many tries!Hey,I know I'd wear this to a dance, for sure, but for longer occasions,I'd just use the look without the shine. The video actually didn't just help me find out about the glossy eye look, but it taught me how to master the smoky eye. This vid is a lifesaver!

  • @CookiesRlyAreAliens If you like this smoky eye technique, just wait until you see "Sapphire Smoky Eyes" - it will be out in the next day or two! Glad it worked out better this time!!! Try just using vaseline instead of gloss, that may help a ton-

  • @BrianneAlexandra In both "glossy eye" videos, the models wore the look for at least an hour with minimal creasing. While this look is generally best suited for professional work (the basis of this channel is editorial/runway/TV makeup), it actually looks pretty cool in person, as long as you are cool with an "imperfect" look. After an hour or so, it will start to crease, but it looks pretty grungy and cool. Give it a try and see how it works for you! Thanks for watching!

  • I love it ! thnx :)

  • But the look at 3:58 is gorgeous also:)

  • @basslinechic Heck yeah - without the gloss it's still a dramatic green smoky eye! Thanks for watching!

  • Luv how you made them eyes pop! Fabulous work!

  • beautiful. love the look it's gorgeous.

  • I would love to be the modle you worked on!!!! YOU are so AMAZING at makeup!

  • Your Hands are like magic, you,re an amazing beauty artist :)

  • Who is the bautiful Girl in the bautiful Look-Video Leopard eyes??'

  • @AnnoyingMarschmallow Same as this video - Brooke Quinn.

  • What a GORGEOUS model! Very nice look, too! ;)

  • Amazing looks! Thanks for putting up these videos! You have anew subscriber! :)

  • tooo deep eyebrows O:

  • can you do my make up ;o where can i find yu

  • Beautiful *-*

  • your work is beautiful. I'm a huge fan.

  • Good tutorial... but I've done this before and it feels really gross when you're wearing it! >< Maybe it's just me... I don't like having gooey eyes lol

  • @twiggyjali Oh yeah, it's definitely not the most natural feeling look! Pain is beauty though, otherwise stilettos wouldn't exist! Thanks for watching:)

  • That was amazing. I really love these dark looks but don't believe I can carry them off mainly because I'm quite paled skin and have a few skin problems. Any tips?

  • @Simile1992 Pale works great for looks like this...in fact, some of our darkest looks (including this one) have been on pale models! Acne-prone or very uneven tone can often be more challenging, not sure what tips to give as you generalized by saying "a few skin problems," but if it feels too dark, you can always do our other original glossy eye video that is much lighter in color. Thanks for watching!

  • @givegoodface Well I have bad pores, some redness and the occasional spot. I'm sort of a mix between pale skin and european tanned skin (:S if that makes sense). But thanks! I tried the wet look today and it was A-MAZING!

  • you're an artist of the makeup!! congrats :D GOOD JOB!

  • OMG! I LOVE IT

  • amazing! but doesn't it crease really easily?

  • the tutorials you do are so amazing i love them

  • 2:20 you have beautiful music!!!

  • I was almost giving up on my dream of wanting to be a professional makeup artist till i saw ur videos. your work is so simple but yet so beautiful. other makeup guru's seem to use 1 million products to acheieve one look. u prob think im crazy lol, but i wana say thank u. love love love ur work

  • @MizTinkerbelle Less is more:) Thanks for watching!

  • @givegoodface you make it so easy...=) congrats from venezuela =)

  • your tutorials are the only ones i watch on youtube. fantastic.

  • OMG I LOOK UP TO YOU NOW!!!!

  • Love your videos! but i wonder...in some videos u suggest a dome (or cone) shaped foundation brush but in this one its broad...do they create diff effects? really curious

  • @trubeauty1124 The flat or broad foundation brushes "paint" foundation on for a full, polished look. The fluffier complexion brushes create a sheer and natural "airbrushed" look. And the dome brushes give you something in the middle...a very natural medium to full coverage look that looks super smooth. Thanks for watching!

  • Jordan you are amazing!!! Where did you go to school?

  • Very cool...I love glossy lips...never thought about glossy eyes!

  • Like all your videos!

  • That was terrific! I have a question, for so long I used Loreal's "Lash Architect":, which I so loved. For some insane reason they did away with it. So I've been searching for something close to it and nothing can compare. It provided me with HUGE lashes, very long and very thick, This mascara did it all! So now what? I've tried many and always so disappointed, I even tried the one that claims it's so close to giving you a look as false lashes, poor results. Any suggestions?

  • @411adrianne Unfortunately I am not familiar with L'Oreal products, so I'm not sure what would be comparable. Mascaras are very personal, sometimes it seems that no two women use the same formula these days, which makes it one of the hardest products to recommend. I will tell you that I do not support most drugstore brands that still test on animals and have questionable ethics. The one I use most often in these vids is Smashbox "Full Exposure." Two coats = amazing! Hope that helps!

  • @givegoodface I've made a conscious effort to look for hair products that are free from animal testing, now I'm realizing that even mascara are subject to it so thanks so much, that is ridiculous and I won't make that mistake again.

Thanks also for the suggestion of Smashbox's "full exposure", the lashes do look great in your video's so I'm gonna pick some up! You're awesome!!!

  • wouldn't that make your eyelids stick together?

  • @TheJessicabieber13 Did hers look stuck together at the end? Lol. The reason we use salve or vaseline and not just straight up lipgloss is to prevent the lids from getting "sticky." The salve has a smoother, non-tacky texture that feels more comfortable than gloss without sacrificing shine. Thanks for watching!

  • what a beautiful color!

  • i saw this look on kim kardashian on her video and i always wanted to know how to do it, THANKS!!! :D

  • how many hours it can last? after couple hours it's not gonna become mess?

  • @minyona7777 There have been a few answered questions about this, and unfortunately this is not a look that lasts very long. It works great for runway and editorial, and can actually look pretty awesome when it starts to dissolve, but it definitely will not look crisp and perfect for more than an hour or two.

  • This lasts exactly how long before it turns into a hot mess ???? Is it just for editorial use ?

  • @knitnpaint As mentioned before, this is a high-fashion look and this channel generally covers my work from Fashion Week and editorials. That said, you could totally rock this look out, but the gloss will start to deteriorate the look slowly from the moment you apply it. I actually think it looks wicked awesome when it starts to come undone, but that's just me - see how you like it and let us know how it goes! Thanks for watching!

  • this is sooooo cool!

  • What about metallic eyeshadow that looks glossy.

  • @dadreamzworld I would love if shadow could look this wet! Sadly, metallic shadow is just that...metallic. No doubt it would look awesome, they're just totally different looks.
