dude you guys need more vids and why the frick did you put pink stickers on the taiyan its an awesome cube you guys need to be better cubers just work with it and you guys are slow and you only have 3x3s
My HK order took FOREVER. I got a C4U order in 4 days before!!!! I'm in the UK. Just ordered an F2 from tribox, and was wondering, how did you get a new core for it? I've had to replace my Edison core once because the screws were stripped, and it's happening again. Do you know of any core that can also be used in an Edison? I'd like a different one that doesn't strip so easily. I can't tighten the thing.
I guess it's different since we're in the states. I suppose I should put caveats into anything I say about shipping time. I have found old type A cores and Cube4you cores to be the most universilly compatibly so I would try one of those. They are both usually available on cube4you
Oh, I've had it take 5 weeks as well. I never ordered cubes when I lived in the US, so I can't compare. I have tried a C4U core in my Edison, but I used the Edison screws with it. When put together, it was seriously way too tight, even unscrewed all the way. The last piece wouldn't even go in. It was almost like the core was too small. I just don't understand what would make it different except it just being smaller slightly. Takafumi is sending me 2 more cores though, so I'll have extra.
I have the actual JSK which, I really like with some hardware adjustments. But you're right that's another cube we need to review.
We're torn on going back to do a better job with the cubes we first reviewed. I'd like to take back some of the stuff we said but we don't want to sacrifice the view count!
You should also mention that when you buy a DIY version you have to cap the whole thing.... when you don't cap it and just assemble it you have almost a ful hollow cube. (nothing special but great fun) in my opinion... this beats my Type C and A 1st model BY FAR. the feeling of this cube is amazing... even though it locks up more and cuts corners less then my Type A the nice feeling and it speed makes this my main cube
Great review! I own a number of these and feel that they are the best around, IMHO. Good consistencies, even across the different colors they come in, but I personally find the whites better (like JB's blue Type F?). Didn't notice much differences using different lubes. Creamy lube from Mefferts makes it sound a lot less crispy, but that's just it. Stickers still excellent after 4 mths, so didn't have to swap into Cubesmith's. Takes a lot of beating, even at very loose tensions, before it pops.
We are shooting F II and D II Sunday. Then there is post production which takes anywhere from three days to a week or more depending on several factors including my 2 year old.
are you guys planning on making a type fii review vid? i got mine a couple days ago and like it but i find the edge caps pop alot and that they only turn amazing when rather loose
Hey guys. Great review! Five stars for showing the internal design. That's what I look for in every review.
I have some video requests. If you happen to have a type A5, then could you guys do a review on it? Also, I've looked on your channel for an average video. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't see one. So, if you have the cube, a type A5 review would be great, and an average vid would be cool.
could u do a review on the cube4you speedcube vs. whichever is your favorite cube? just state which one is better, or make it a side note in one of your other videos because ill be tuning in for each one! subscribed already, great videos! also impressed that youve got badmephisto commenting!!
Rocco's favorite is a Cube4you DIY I think, although he likes the D II as well... but you do have a point we probably need to have a barometer in the videos that shows how the cube stacks up against a control
I got this cube but in white. Can't get my hands on any CRC or Jig-A-Loo (I'm in the UK) so I used some silicone called Tableau Dry Lube. It works really well. I agree about the corner cutting. But as a whole this is the best cube I have.
hahaha! that's weird :D Meh I don't know why people give them thumbs down, I think its pretty hilarious :) but I know many people disagree. and @HowToCube no plans for videos right now, nope.

I heard that F II and Taiyan are the same.. Is that right?

completely untrue. The edge pieces have a similar design, but that is it. Stay tuned for a F II review in the next few weeks.
