this video fails imo, your showing a demo optimised for runing with the ATI drivers on a nvidia card, do it the other way around and you will get the same result, unless nvidia has programed their demos better.

Oh and before you mention the 4870X2, Its infact a double card and should be compared to two nvidia's 260GTX's in sli, Where ATI falls flat on its face ;) Oh and dont say im a fanboy. I was once a fan of AMD, Then C2D came out, So i became a fan of Intel, Now the promising Phenom II has come out, And im leaning back towards the AMD side of cpus. With GPU's, Nvidias are more reliable (Drivers that actualy work), Faster, image quality+.

More like AMD had to buy ATI to drag them out of a hole. ATI's cards have the best balance in terms of price/performance ratio and with the 3800 series, they are doing quite well. nvidia's FX series was actually a failure. Even the Geforce 4 series wasn't much behind. the 6800's however was a different story.

The Geforce 9 series was at least an improvement over the last generation.

The FX series was a step back. the only way they could keep up was through extreme driver "optimizations" by Nvidia which sacrificed image quality for performance.

i have a fx 5200 ultra. were can i get that demo? and ati is better, i just needed to say it.and dont compair the 8800 gtx to the hd2900xt the 2900 xt costs $150 less, compair it to the 8800 gts. they have the same price but the 2900xt wins hands down.

Prob with this is, that A. it doesnt say what hardware, it could be a 5200 for all we know. And two, ATI Demo's are designed for ATI cards, because nVidia wouldnt have seen the source code so there drivers wouldn't be right or ready for the ATI Demo.
