Yahoo! Thanks so much for the upload. I love the Sega AM2 division. They always make one of the most memorable games around. I love Last Wave in Outrun. The tune is so romantic and epic. I imagine a lone open road to the beach on a sunny and blue sky day :-) It's so beautiful. I love that guitar and drum action. Easy listening music+ Sega AM2 = Win :-)
Oh man, music to my ears, the sooth melady of outrun. I remember going to an arcade just to hear some of the music from the machines like outrun and Super hangon. nowendays, I just can not find an old 90's style arcade anymore. It just saddens me that the era of best videogames in history just does not exist in our world any longer, You just cant find that sense of enjoyment at home, it requires going to an old fashined arcade with 20$ and 3 hours to fry. Oh the golden ages of arcades.
Men it's so sad... because you know that those days will never come back... I'm glad and proud to have known those days but i'm pretty sad right now. Great performance
think out run was the greatest arcade game ever.... there's a lot to be said driving a ferrari down a road with a busty blonde in the car and the sea in view... i discovered it when i was about 13 and always got a crowd watching me when i played it in the arcade, kids on their ps3's just dont get that nowadays
yeah, these kind of games really make me remember the past. all arcades are nowerdays is time crisis and house of the dead...bollocks. so when i go into a proper arcade i dont wanna come out
there's no proper arcade nowadays my friend... those days are truly over... the days of going down there with 50p and making it last the whole afternoon was an art that took years to master... now arcades are all fruit machines, someone you just dont want to be seen... i remember running up to the arcade, hot summers day, you could hear the outrun music from across the green, those were the days of the arcade
scarborough has at least one proper arcade...its a 3 story one and on the first floor its full of old games from the 80's and the early 90's....no time crisis to be found....if its not a proper one, its as close as your gonna get
yea, but its just not the same... its all ps3's now and kids dont want to go there anymore... i'm in my 30's now and dont want to go there... dont know how old u r but i think i had the best of the arcade years... the 80's were the prime years, how can you ever top a crowd of people watching you complete space harrier and outrun... they even clapped at the end, as a 13 yr old i felt famous
im noly 21...i grew up with at leats the old games of the early 90's. i still play them, i even go to play older games....granted most of them have to be emulated now. i still have my old megadrive and the games...same for the mastersystem and my snes. i even played the atari 2600 until i was about 13 or so, then it died....
if i could time travel id go to the 80s, just for the games alone....then to the 50s for an awesome looking car
Thanks for this video ! I have the Live Album from SST, but the Last Wave track doesn't have the piano intro. Does anyone knows if there's a recording of this version ? Or should I take it from the DVD ?
Sheez, I thought I was a geek for liking video game music. Now I find that Tommy Talarico does the game music awards, does Video Games Live, and now people are posting SEGA game music, and Zuntata. I'm such a geek it hurts. But I love this music. I even remember trying to remake renditions of these songs on piano and guitar. I got pretty close, but hearing the original just gives me the Jibblies! I love this stuff! Keep posting!
its funny that you mentioned that cause that tommy guy made music in games himself. i saw his name after i be disney's aladdin on sega. as far as i know, hes a musician himself.
It's nice to see people comments of people apprecciating this music. I thought I was the only one who got a rush from listening to old video game music. I have this kind of stuff in my car radio, makes me feel nostalgic about my child hood days playing this great video games. This music is top notch..
I play this kind of music in my car too. There is something special and different about video game music, especially from the late 80's and early 90's. I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one!
A memory from long ago: Whenever I was lucky enough to enter my initials into the high score list of Outrun, I used to wait until the very last moment with the last initial just because I wanted to hear the full song.
