wow. love em! saw these guys first time open for cold war kids about 2yrs ago. since, i have had the good fortune of seeing em play in nyc, boston, detroit, madison wisc and chicago. each time they amaze me more and more. always good to see em and talk with em. glad to see rock still alive!!
i saw these guys in chicago a few weeks ago- not at this palce though. it was a taste or randolph street. anyway- the drummer has the most amazing energy i've ever seen. i was with my boyfriend at the concert and that's all we could focus on.
The percussion in this song was amazing at the concert. Their sound is so original. I have been looking all day for their album but I can't find it anywhere.
Had the pleasure of playing with these guys at The Drunken Unicorn in atlanta. They opened with this song and it really struck a chord in me. Brings back good vibes listening to the live version.
the only problem with this song, is that after hearing the live version i have trouble listening to the accoustic-only version on the album. amazing performance.
no it doesn't, its got some horns. the story on it is that matt recorded the album version in a bathroom the day he wrote the song. So the band has all kicked in their parts since to create this wonderful full band version.
yeeeeaaaaa...the version on the album disappointed me cause i enjoyed the loud drumming and screaming at the concert...but overall, the album is great. acoustic version isnt all that bad.
totally agree man saw them in hollywood opening for matt costa and the screaming and loudness made the band what they are. the albums still good but they destroy live
this is one of my favourite songs of all time, the words are so amazing
